NFL.com : Brady Greatest QB ever

Eh, the Carolina Super Bowl was an exhibition is sieve defense. Great for 28 minutes, but when you give up 29 points in 31 minutes, that's bad. Luckily Brady played out of his mind that day against a great D, one of the best performances ever.

I think the Pats-Panthers game set a SB record for defense and offense in the same game.

Wait I just a top 10 video putting Brady at number 2, but the written version has him at number 1

Today, Brady showed where he ranks. He was the hero while others crumbled. He is calm when pressure is on.

I think Blount was the best player on the field today, but I agree Brady is a great leader to have on any team!

That Patriots defense was probably the greatest in team history and one of the greatest in NFL history. Why you are comparing them to the hapless '84 fish D is beyond me. If you are (for some bizarre reason) basing it solely on the Super Bowl, again, the Dolphins D gave up 537 yards in the SB. They were terrible for 60 minutes, not 31 minutes.

You mentioned that Super Bowl, when key members of that D were hurt, and they were practically non-existent against the Panthers. You said the Patriots didn't win Super Bowls without great Ds. That day? On that day, it definitely was not a great D. It was a very poor one.

In fact, they should have never given up that many points and yards to Seattle 2 years ago. Again, another great Brady performance.

You missed the point. Anyway Im tired of feeling like im making a case against brady. Its not a real fun way to spend my time. I will just say that Marino was really, really good. And, the other 52 guys on a football team and 12 or so coaches matter. A lot.

The offensive line was making some huge holes for blount to run threw. I could have gotten some first downs and then ended up in the hospital.

I definitely agree with that. I wrote the same thing about Marino. I just think Brady played lights out against great Ds when his own D was not so hot. Marino carried that Phins team as well, and though I believe his temperament was never very good in terms of leadership, he was always a tough clutch player.

Marino could bring any team back in a hurry.

Somebody is going to get spanked by Fraudger.

Here is the list :-

10) Drew Brees
9) Brett Favre
8) John Elway
7) Roger Staubach
6) Dan Marino
5) Otto Graham
4) Johnny Unitas
3) Peyton Manning
1b) Joe Montana
1a) Tom Brady

Brady's career isn't over yet. He still has time to move up.

Two points:

First and foremost: exactly why do we care what the NFL.com comedians think?

Second: I'd put Bart Starr on the list and certainly not in the rear with Elway, Favre and Brees.

The only thing they did that took guts was to leave Rodgers off the list. But they balanced that with their cowardice in putting flyover country fave Peyton at #3.

PS edit: my bad in omitting Sammy Baugh in my second point.
