NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION MNF: Seattle @ Philly 11/30

Just have to lol at that Wentz contract. Yikes. Hard bullet to swallow if they want to move on from him this offseason.

Everyone here cries so damn much about the Harry pick. The Eagles have drafted Arcega-Whiteside in the 2nd in 2019 ahead of Metcalf, Reagor in the first, John Hightower in the 5th, and Quez Watkins in the sixth, all in 2020. Their best receiver is a 6th round pick waived by the Lions and Packers who is, at best, on a par with Jakobi Meyers.

Drafting is hard.

Edit: Oh yes. They’ve also drafted Nelson Agholor high in the recent past.

There is NO excuse for drafting Reagor over Justin Jefferson and everyone knew this.
Also, drafting Jalen Hurts was just bizarre. Howie Roseman and Peterson's time with the Eagles should come to an end after this season.

Also, I believe Wentz is an excellent QB, they just need a change and someone to come in and straighten him out. Would gladly take him on Pats if Eagles want to trade him.

DK metcalf 10 for 177 tonight while we’re stuck with dirty Harriet

pats could have moved up 1 spot for Jefferson. Instead we traded down for a D2 safety

What's worse the philly receiving group or the patriots?
NE no question. At least PHI has “names” on IR.
Jackson, Ertz, Goodwin. We don’t even have that. Also, that kid Fulgham is a baller.

What makes us so sure Metcalf would be that much more productive here than Harry is? He would have had a disgruntled Brady last year and no QB that can throw him a football this year.

Philly is in a world of trouble if the cap next year falls to its projected 176,000,000. As of today, that would put them 86 MILLION OVER THE CAP!

Go ahead and try the "calculator" function and try and cut enough guys to get them under the cap, you can't do it!

They have about $23 million in cap space right now, they are gong to have to restructure a ton of contracts including Wentz's (he has a $34 million cap hit next year), which would almost double to $59 million if they cut him! As of today, the Eagles have $264 million in contracts for next year, so they need to basically restucture the entire team.

The only ones in worse shape are the Saints, theya re already $93 million over the cap for 2021!

Wentz is just flat out horrific. His O line is bad and his receivers are pedestrian but he is a major problem. He holds on to the ball forever, doesn't seem to feel the rush until it's too late, always seems to chuck the ball up in the air instead of putting some zip on it, and I honestly don't think he is a good leader. I don't know if they built themselves in an "out" in that contract but if they don't get killed cap-wise they have to cut bait with him next year.

any idea why Petey is calling running plays every down inside the opponent five yard line? They make some new kind of hallucinogenic drug out there in Sea-whackle?
Probably the Ghost of Malcolm Butler.

As if Brady would have been disgruntled with superstar Metcalf lol. Brady was disgruntled because he knew Harry sucks

It’s time for people to admit DK could have been great here. It’s crazy DK and Harry play in the same league. DK is a much much much better athlete.

People might be right about Newton, but I can’t see any metric that would suggest Wentz is better.
Wentz is having a terrible season, but nobody in their right minds would take Cant over him.

EDIT: if the price were the same of course...

That Harry and the JoeJuan picks both loom as soul crushing when you consider you would trade both of them for Metcalf, and the Pats could have drafted him with either of the picks that were wasted in those two.

mans Metcalf has just surpassed Harry’s career totals in 3 quarters
It's even worse than that: Bill traded his bud Petey the very pick (#64) used to select Metcalf...

AJ at #32 + DK at #64 = WR position Solved.

Seattle passed on DJ twice before drafting him at 64. Every other team passed on DJ once or twice or more. But the Patriots are the dummy's for not taking him?
No, the Pats are dummies for taking Kneal Harry at #32 ahead of AJ Brown...and for trading #64 to Petey so he could correct his earlier mistakes and draft Metcalf...

BTW, Howie Roseman & Melonhead Dougie were reamed new ones last night during Fecals Post-Game Live on CSNPhilthy...

Peterson had a strange PC after the loss in which he out-Belichicked Bill himself, except that he took longer than Bill would to not answer a question...There also seems to be a tug-of-war happening between the FO/Ownership and the Coaching Staff concerning Jalen Hurts; and Melonhead's moves with him last night suggest that he is daring his bosses to do something about it...

Roseman's Belichickian drafting incompetence was also discussed, specifically at WR, with JJ Arcega-Whiteside vs DK Metcalf and Jalen Reagor (who looked absolutely Awful last night) vs Justin Jefferson particular sore spots...

Finally, DC Slappy Schwartz apparently added fuel to DK Metcalf's fire by telling him Before the game that he wasn't in Calvin Johnson's league yet...Way to go dumbass...There is No Fun in Philthy...

Pederson’s head more resembles a pineapple than a melon to me.
