MNF pregame thread: Pats @ Buffalo

Belichick is going to want to keep Allen in the pocket, as he always does with mobile quarterbacks. This also means, in all likelihood, very little man to man defense, especially on third downs. This is where Diggs, Beasely and Knox could feast. Pats absolutely need to get pressure with 4 guys. Let us all hope that Judon does not become overzealous and "get behind" Allen to often because that's a recipe for a 10 yard scramble. GO PATS
I've seen Allen scramble for the first on second or third and short way too often and that's frustrating if you're the defense.

Teams can get in his head though and visibly frustrate him. He's prone to that.

I'm sure he'll employ a similar gameplan to what the Pats used on Wilson in SB 49, which worked effectively

Maybe but Allen has 6 inches and 20+ pounds on Wilson. Harder to tackle.

On the positive though, the Bills don't have a Marshawn Lynch to focus on.

not like seattle would hand the ball to him on the goal line or anything...

I meant trying to keep Allen in the pocket. Wilson is speedier than Allen is and much more elusive.

Patriots have put JJ Taylor on the C-19/Reserve list as of Today.

Brought in Devine Ozigbo - RB for a workout. Could be signed to the PS.

Pats get Bill Vinovich for the game.. Means that we're going to be really frustrated at the Bills O-line holding Judon and Barmore all day..

the bears and giants are one game out of a playoff spot? Lmao wtf

and now you see why they added a team to each conference for the playoffs and went to 17 games.

wish this was at home first or a day game. Tough spot for a rookie .
Sorry, but this couldn’t come better.

save the home game for the ‘home stretch’ ; hopefully closing out HFA.

And he has to play a MNF at some point this season. So when better than week before the bye? Mac gets a 12-13 day rest after.

yeah 13:00 starts for 16 games in 17 weeks would be nice, but sorry Gotohell has Sa, Su (3 slots), Mo plus London games and 17 in 18 weeks.

all considered. This coming 3/4 thru rookie season; it is a great developmental schedul. It could have been much., much, worse.

Gonna be a tough matchup, even without white.

My gut told me we'd likely split with them this year, and I hope I'm wrong!

We're gonna sweep them and it isn't even gonna be close lol. When the season wraps up and we're talking about the Pats playoff opponent media talk will be "Who have the Pats beaten?" Because we're gonna stomp Buffalo so bad they won't even be considered a good team anymore

Because I'm a huge nerd who doesn't have a day job...
