missed a lot of the series due to work. Pitching is most important in the playoffs and these two teams are stacked. No team with a win at home is strange...will be watching tonight. Great series other than the unfortunate sketchy umpiring.

I'm going with begrudgingly taking the Nats seriously but never their fair weather front running fans.

Really? I know a bunch of people around here in DC who are Nats fans whether they win or lose. But I don't pay a ton of attention, so maybe they're the exceptions. Glad for the real fans though.

I too am glad for all 50 of their real fans but after seeing he crowing so many supposed fans did when they were up 2-0 and the disappearing act they pulled when it went the other way I remain convinced the only dedicated fans in DC belong to the hapless Skins.

Disappearing act? I posted when they lost 2 in a row. Sure I crowed when they were up 2-0, but I showed up. I'm not going to post after every WS game since there was no discussion here, genius.

Yeah, Skins fans at this point are true fans. But lots of people were going to Nats games around here even when they got off to their terrible start to the season. Dunno... I think they're just normal fans. Still, this is the first win for the Expos/Nats in their history, so that's pretty cool, too.

It's you who should be icing up after the Astros went up 3-2 and you had to post something snarky. You weren't even man enough to post anything when the Nats took a 2-0 lead. As soon as they lost 1 game you decided to show up to the WS discussion, no doubt to attack me and no other purpose

There is nothing more pathetic than taking it upon yourself to decide who is or isn’t a “true fan”. I’ve lived here for ages and the nationals fans are just as real as anyone else. People get angry around here if the Redskins are even brought up anymore and many have just taken to calling them THE FOOTBALL TEAM. The statement that this is a redskins town was maybe true a decade ago but it’s not anymore. Those of us who live here and listen to the sports radio around here would know.
