Surprised they didn't go with a younger, up-and-coming assistant which is what they've done since forever.

McCarthy isn't a terrible coach but he's old and needs a good QB....and they don't have one

I like the McCarthy hire. Should keep the Steelers firmly rooted in mediocrity for the foreseeable future. Team with no QB and an old, expensive roster on defense.
