Terrance Knighton Thanks Patriots On Social Media Following Release
Winslow Townson - USA TODAY Sports
After being released by the Patriots on Monday, defensive lineman Terrance Knighton took to Twitter to give his thanks to the club for the opportunity despite the fact things probably didn’t quite work out as well as he hoped.
Knighton walked away with plenty of class as he thanked both Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft, as well as the fans.
Great respect for Robert Kraft and bill Belichick. Learned some things from my time here.

Well it's been real New England. The road continues

Best wishes to Knighton, who many had hoped would be a factor in the Patriots defensive line this season.  But a crowded and talented group was the issue Belichick cited on Monday for the veteran’s release.
“Just didn’t work out,” Belichick told the media. “He came in, worked hard, lost weight, got in good condition, tried to do the things we asked him to do. Just other people ahead of him.”
