I was, to be honest, lately, some Jets fans have become worse than Phin fans, I needed to leave, the younger generation, PS3 playing, Madden playing wannabe QB's think they know it all, I needed a break.

This is a Jets thread, isn't it?

Why do you care that I'm posting?

You open our front door, walk into our living room without an invitation, sit on our couch, and interrupt our family conversation, and you wonder why people don't want you here?

Do you just walk up to groups of strangers in public and barge into their conversations?

It's not a "Jets" thread, it is a "Patriots fans' thread on their message board" that happens to be talking about last night's SNF game.

You claim that the Jets found a way to win. Others would claim that the Cowboys found a way to lose.

That. The blocked punt was impressive, but Romo was not stripped of the ball at the goaline by a fierce defense - he didn't cover it on a dive. And while I will agree that Revis is arguably the best cover corner in the NFL, his interception was not the result of his cover skills - it was the result of a miserable throw to a receiver not even looking for the ball that Collinsworth commented "don't know what he saw" - ie., WTF. So I guess in relative terms the Jets enjoyed a comeback, if you consider standing in the same place while the other team goes in reverse staging a comeback.

Dealing with the Cowboys fans and their complaints daily here, the Boys have no defense. Ware is great, but the secondary blows and the rest of the D is unimpressive. The OL is nothing special. The Jets won this in the end, so good for them. But watching them get gouged at home for about 400 yards, 326 through the air by a primarily passing team (namely, stop the pass first and make them try to run the ball on you is an obvious gameplan), you have to wonder where the Jets defense is this year with the youth movement, and if this is the exception or the rule as the season goes on. I expect the Boys are an 8-8 team at best when it is all said and done, with a self-destruct reputation right now. A win is a win, and first games are sloppy, but I would not credit this to the Jets "never say die"/opportunistic attitude as much as I would to the Cowboys flopping and handing the game to the Jets when they seemed ready to lose.

To summise it properly without using alot of verbage, this statement should suffice: Tony Romo sucks monkey nuts........!

Romo is NOT a franchise QB. He displays poor judgment on the field -- trying to test Revis time and time again with a cramped up limping Bryant as target. Romo also repeatedly displays poor instincts as his last minute decision to run at the goalline resulting in a game shifting fumble. Offensive playcalling was unimaginative. He should have ignored Revis and gone after his other receivers or TEs like Witten and Phillips.

All in all, Romo did all he could single-handedly to serve up this game as a gift to the Jets. If I were a Dallas fan, I would be beyond livid.

*Sigh* Typical Romo, typical Jets.

Once again

A pick, one fumble and one combined yard after the Revis interception.

Sooner or later the luck will run out.

I couldn't stay awake past the 3rd quarter when the Cowboys had a 7 point lead. I woke up a few minutes ago and couldn't help but when I saw the final score. Is this going to be like last season where a Jets opponent (ie-Houston,Cleveland) pretty much gives the Jets a chance to win the game via poor play in the last few minutes of a game?

I learned something last night..Rex Grosman is better than Sanchez.

god damn it only romo could do that...men jets are the same that last year I cant believe it

Because as a Green Beans fan you might consider yourself a guest on this board regardless of subject matter. And your response to Joker's post was unnecessarily insulting.

He's been given an infraction for that and read the riot act. He has been pretty respectful until that post and I expect him to fall into line. It's ok to attack the point, but not the poster.

We have a quicker trigger finger for insulting posts from NY Jets fans. As long as they stay in line, they can make their cogent points as strongly as they like. If not, oh well.

Love how you spin it

The INT that returned the ball to the 1 wasn't the work of the defense giving up a TD

Bryant was playing hurt, so was Revis

First game of the season, all teams look sloppy playing a full game for the first time

It was a great game, both teams made plays, the would have been Cro INT where he had the ball and tumbled to the ground only to have Austin wind up with it was a great play by Austin, an almost great play by Cro, just luck of the draw on that one, can't fault defense on that

ST's is still 33% of the game, the Jets have one of the best ST's in the league

The Jets defense will be very good, Dallas will be one of the more explosive offensive teams in the league, and will be much better on defense with Ryan running the show

Sanchez grew up again tonight, taking that next step, he had some holes in his game, but he was clutch when he needed to be and had one of his better statistical nights of his career.

The Jets are for real, stop trying to deny it.

Sanchez grew up again? Two stupid turnovers (including a fumble that should have lost them the game if Romo wasn't so incompetent in that game), inconsistent play, too many three and outs. He looked like the same Sanchez to me. Even on the last drive he made a stupid mistake (although it didn't cost them). Stud at points and a dud at others. And the Cowboys' secondary was crap last night with their best CBs out of the game.

The Jets' defense had no answer for Bryant. His injury was huge in that game. Revis went to the sidelines for a few minutes, but he wasn't hobbled for most of the game.

It would have been a Cromartie INT if he wasn't a soft player. He showed again last night he is a boom or bust player and he was mostly bust last night. It is funny you talk about my "spin" and then you spin this yourself.

Face facts, the Cowboys lost that game more than the Jets won it. They were depleted in the secondary and clearly had to revise their defense when Jenkins went down and it allowed Sanchez perform.

Things I would be worried about if I was a Jets fans: The Jets have no running game with Shonn Greene as the lead back, Sanchez is still streaky, Wayne Hunter, and they still continue to struggle defending TEs and over the middle of the field.

Hey, the jets took advantage of their opportunities, they made them pay. That's what good teams do.

What we need to do is look after business tonight.

I don't think Romo ever learned anything from the past. He is not an RB to run the ball in the endzone to get a td, he broke his thumb in the playoffs because of that and the guy never learned from his mistake.

The Jets are a chippy team that has a D that can keep them in games. they hang around and hang around and when you make mistakes they capitalize on them. Romo made two huge mistakes in the 4th qtr that the Jets made him pay for. He is absolutely not a franchise qb he doesn't have the good decision making ability to be one. Reminds me a lot of Bledsoe.

What I did see last night was a Jet D that has a hard time covering TE's and a Jet OL that isn't as good as prior years. This very much favors the Pats.

What I didn't like was the Jets D can still bring the heat and can confuse OL's very easily which bodes ill for the Pats.

There's nothing wrong with admitting that the Cowboys lost the game opposed to the Jets winning it. Practically the entire NFL world outside of Jets fans recognizes that.

That's how football is sometimes, teams lose a game and the opposition capitalizes.

Yeah, every "expert" I have heard said that the Cowboys lost instead of the Jets winning. Dungy said it last night. Boomer Easiason said it on WEEI this morning. He also said that Sanchez was mediocre last night (some flashes of brilliance, but a lot of mistakes and poor decisions) and he is high on Sanchez turning into a good QB.

I can't stand Dallas or Romo. I would have been happy to see the Cowboys blow that game to anyone except the Jets.

You have to be a combination of lucky and good to win in this league.

The problem is luck builds confidence.

The Cowgirls should have ran that sweep left that they scored on earlier in the game. Romo is freaking horrible.

Every freaking year!! Did you all hear the stat early in the game that the jets recover 70% of fumbles? Tonight, stupid-ass romo fumbles at the one and who recovers? Jets. Then last year, we all know they should have lost like 4 games but for the stupidity of the other team, and the year before Rex didn't even know they still had a shot at the playoffs. ARGHHH!!! I hate those posers so much!!! And they keep lucking out!! Its so not fair that loudmouth arrogant bastards keep lucking out!! I'm so pissed.

The Jets didn't luck out. Romo and the Cowboys did what Romo and the Cowboys always do ........crapped in their pants in the 4th quarter and threw away a win. They do it often.

This.

And not only that, but he dove and put his left hand down to break his fall which is an easy way to bend back your thumb and injure it, as anyone who has wrestled (not the WWE style) can tell you. I think it was a stupid move to dive head first to begin with as a QB in that particular situation, but even moreso not to cover the ball with both hands. It is one thing to put your hand to the ground like that when you are still semi on your feet as many RBs and WRs do, it is another to outright dive headfirst onto it. I know it is somewhat just a natural instinct to break your fall, though.

How many times we have seen Romo screw up things and lose a game. This guy seems to have a knack for it. That should have been a 0-1 start for the jets.

OK, on to our team now .. really don't know what to expect tonight but I'm going to say, go get'em boys.. have some sushi for dinner
