I feel like Everytime I open my Google page I see articles like Bears targeting McDaniels.
McDaniels agent has strong ties with Bears.
McDaniels was very high on Fields you get the picture.
I feel the worst thing we can do to Mac is let that man leave the building.

Thoughts?

My thought is that the Bears could make a strong play for MacDaniels and the outcome could tell us whether he is slated to succeed Belichick or not. By all reports he is already being paid like a head coach, and Kraft may well have told him he would be their next coach. However MacDaniels could be tired of waiting, or they could blow him away with an offer that is impossible to refuse. We will see?

Only way Josh leaves is he has major say-so in personnel.

I question he was high on Fields.

That’s a good point ( on personnel), but if they were to come at him with something like 12 million a year, when he is reportedly earning 5 million a year, then that would be very difficult to turn down. I hope the Patriots can keep him because finding a decent replacement will be tough, and guys like O’Shea, or the sack of sh.t O’ Brien would ****** Jones development or destroy him altogether.

As far as that goes it is impossible to know, I have never seen that reported but unfortunately sh.t like that tends to get made up around here.

First, stop using google. Use duckduckgo. Also, don’t get worked up by baseless speculation typed by people who are under pressure to find things to write about….pressure that increases when the team you cover sucks (again) and you’ve run out of new things to write about Fields.

Josh getting another job is a matter of time and he might not ever be in more demand after the season that he had helping develop Mac. Very good chance he’s gone which Im not sure this forum wants or not because any Game Day Thread can alternate between calling for his head and praising him in an hour or two.

I don’t see McDaniels and Fields being a fit. Sounds like the writer had a deadline he needed to meet and grabbed an old, familiar name out of the hat.

The MacDaniels to Chicago speculation is real, the Chicago Tribune is suggesting him as their next HC, but it’s in the context of multiple consideration, including Greg Roman, , Byron Leftwich, Todd Bowles and a couple of others, I’m sure Bienemy will probably be in there as well. Right now Romans looks like the best choice, because of his success with Lamar Jackson, but I think all are realistic choices. The Bears were reportedly warned off of MacDaniels before they hired Nagy, but I’m not sure the Patriots could do anything about MacDaniels leaving if he wants to. On the other hand MacDaniels could love working with Jones and make it clear he isn’t looking to leave NE.

I think Romans will be the front runner. I would love to see the Ravens get hit with a big coaching loss, it seems to happen to the Patriots yearly.

This is the first I'm hearing of it. Maybe it's time to unfollow the Ramos types on Twitter.

Roman would be an easy transition. If I were him, I’d try to poach Dan Mullen and bring him in as a QB coach/Co-OC. Mullen has no experience at the NFL level, but has a documented history of improving his quarterbacks year over year.

I don't know why they would need McDaniels when they have 2018 Associated Press & Pro Football Writers Association Coach of the Year Matt Nagy at the helm.

Bill O'Brien is rumored in line to return if McDaniels leaves. I think Mac will be fine regardless, getting him through his rookie year would be the most important part of his development.

The MacDaniels to Chicago speculation
I stopped reading here. That was my point, that it is all speculation by writers who have nothing else to write about. Given Mac’s success, JMD will be linked to most anticipated job 2022 head coaching openings. What’s the point of worrying about speculation (without real substance) in early December? When and if they request an interview with McDaniels, and assuming that he actually shows mutual interest, this will go beyond speculation and will actually become relevant to 2022 and beyond.

There is literally no one I would be more opposed to than that sack of sh.t. He destroyed a talented Texans franchise and he would do the same to the Patriots offense. He’s a piece of sh.t as a human being and a terrible football coach.

Yeah, I’m all set on BOB. Let’s bring in some new blood.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that what you are getting is what everyone else is getting. Google and other platforms have become pretty shrewd in manipulating you, by giving you content that it calculates will stimulate more engagement from you. it's flooding you with this specific content because it has detected that this kind of content is causing you to click more than usual.

The truth is this: The Bears are considering McDaniels along with Daboll and a handful of others. In short, they're doing what every other organization looking for a HC is doing.

Right on the money.
