We could trade with MIN for the bag of 3 firsts and meet all three needs early.
McCarthy or Pinex at 6 (or 7 or 9) would fit the pattern2001 #6 - Richard Seymour (HOF)
1996 #7 - Terry Glenn (RIP)
1994 #4 - Willie McGinest
1992 #1 - Drew Bledsoe
This is the list of the last four players the Patriots drafted with a single digit draft pick......

yup, consider if CHI is able to get ALT or one of the top 3 WR's 9.If they get an offer like the Bears got last year from the Panthers, you make the trade. A trade like that is can make the Pats a contender for years. The Bears if they do it right could end up with 5 impact starters with several of them being All Pros.
Absolutely no bearing....but I thought it would be interesting to look it up.No offense, but I don't know if players drafted when grunge was a thing really have any bearing on today and what the Pats might do with the top 3 pick.
WAS is drafting Daniels. That is the only given.

We could trade with CHI who wants their choice of WR
We could trade with the NYG who want a QB.
We could trade with AZ who we could threaten (no trade and we trade with someone else who will pick a WR)
We could trade with LAC if they want their choice of receiver.
We could trade with MIN for the bag of 3 firsts and meet all three needs early.
We could trade with DEN who wants really wants one of the top 4 QB's.

Or, we could draft the most highly rated QB, who MAY BE an average plus NFL starter after a year. We can then use our 34 and 68 to draft a top LT's and a top WR, probably the 9th best OT and 12th best WR.
O yeah, there is one chance in 20 (who thinks better?) that Maye will become an NFL start top 5 QB)
I voted for trade down. With the Giants makes sense. Their GM Joe Schoen is confused. We give him 3 and next year’s fourth rounder for their top three picks.
At 6 we take OT1, baby.
If we pick a QB at 3 and it turns into a bust, we’re the Jets.
We would be the new Jets. Drafting QBs early a la Sam Darnold in 2018, also at 3, and Zach Wilson, at 2 in 2021, without an adequate OL is a verified recipe for disaster.
Maye suffered a significant regression last season. Yeah, bad interior OL—though they were Redskin Hogs compared with Spencer Rattler’s in Columbia, SC. And his accuracy issues aren’t going away because of hype in April.
Granted, he’s a first round talent. But trade back and start with OT.
Not sure where you came up with the idea that trading with Minnesota would meet all 3 needs. Unless you are talking about OT, WR. and defensive back.
No way MN does that so does not matter. If they could get 11 & 23 and Jefferson, they would be able to add a QB and two of the top OTs in the draft.. That would reshape the entire offense going forward.
Drake Maye.
Trading back means either trading back up to get ahead of NYG to assure we get JJ. feels counter productive. The idea of a trade back is intriguing if they reallyh think pennix or rattler are a solution. They could potentially have 11,23, and 34. Bowers, Tackle, Rattler?
How would you NOT have a QB? What do you think they'd take at 11? *SMH*No way MN does that so does not matter.
In addition, you would not have a QB, you'd be stuck with a JAG.
