Tom Brady is NOT playing get that through your head. So my point stands. Right. Now without gronk our offense is very average. Edelman has been banged up throughout preseason and coming off a surgery. He also is injury prone looking through his playing history. No other WR in our offense even comes close to scarying anyone

Then your point makes f**k all sense. What "star WR" are they going to get in the next day or the next couple of weeks? Because that's the point you're making when you say they need to go get one. Onus is on you to prove to me that Edelman has been banged up all preseason. He left practice on August 9th because he aggravated something in his foot and then returned the next day and was cutting on a soaked failed. Didn't miss a practice the rest of the preseason and isn't on the injury list for this game. So this "Edelman has been hurt all preseason" is a figment of your imagination that you are using to help the point you are trying to make.

As for him returning from injury, if we are gonna apply that to Edelman then surely you apply the "coming back from surgery" tag to Mathieu as well as he was only removed from the PUP list on August 16th, 9 days after Edelman was.

Lafell was a very good outside WR in 2014. We haven't found someone that's been able to replace his production since. If we didn't lowball manny sanders in 2014, we would have had him. He said give me amendolas contract and I'll sign right away.

That's what Sanders statline was against a mediocre CB last night with a 1st year starter. Emmanuel Sanders isn't a WR that isn't gonna carry a team when a guy like Gronk is out.


Ya LaFell was good in '14 but the first three games 80% of this board called him a bust signing. But ya let's write off Hogan and Mitchell before a snap has been played. Team doesn't need a "star WR" it needs a WR that can play in this system.

Pats had arguably the best "star WR" in the game in Randy Moss and never won with him. But have won with the likes of David Patten, David Givens, Deion Branch, Julian Edelman, Troy Brown, Danny Amendola, and Brandon LaFell.

The Cardinals defense has been elite for years now. Even more so now that they have a dominant pass rusher.

They've been torn up in quite a few big games though. Rodgers was throwing to random scrubs and was getting them down the field. Seahawks have torn them up a number of times. Maybe they're a bit better than I give them credit for. I think of them of probably around 7-8ish in the league where we might have a top 3 defense.

The guys that should have been let go because of the AFCC are all gone, Stork, Kline and Deguglielmo and BB didn't come into this season saying "i'm starting Cannon", Vollmer is the reason why. Besides Cannon actually played decent in the preseason.

Cannon has done well this preseason and I truly hope Degugliemo was the issue. But I am stunned they did nothing to build depth there. I can't imagine Vollmer was a surprise. BB always anticipates every scenario, it seems, and he's been ailing for a while. They even refused to extend him. I'm still nervous about Cannon until he proves it during the regular season and this is a huge, daunting task he faces.

Number one problem on this team is the offensive line, it has been for a while. Jimmy could have Jerry Rice in his prime right now and still have problems.

Had they played last years Denver man to man D instead of Seattles zone, they lose the '14 SB. If you can get a safety in man to cheat outside to provide help to a CB then that opens up another small window to work underneath. It's football 101. It won't stop the line from being a revolving door, but that sliver of extra space may be a massive hole to a QB like TB.

For Jimmy it may be a sliver. And a sliver at times may be all you need. For what it's worth I feel Mitchell will be a E. Sanders type that will need to be respected. Hopefully we see the difference that makes.

They aren't elite. Go back and look at last year. They are prone to give it up to teams they shouldn't. They are a paper tiger in all reality. The Badger is coming off an ACL so we shall see how that affects them. The fans here are meh. It shouldn't be a hostile environment by any means.
