Malcolm Butler Mega Thread

Ok then, explain what you meant when you said he was crying his eyes out because he was told way too late?

If it doesn’t mean you think you are a better judge than Belichick of how to handle it then why say it?

It’s like you said the sky is clear and object when I say you said it’s not cloudy.

I said it was my opinion he had thought he had a lesser role and was told sometime that day that he would have no role. Again, opinion..not fact.

Again did I Literally say I was a better judge of players playing time than BB? Nope but keep on circling around with your worthless fluff posts when you know d*mn well those words never came from me.

The words "Dialed in" and "Locked in" are starting to get old.
So? When asked to characterize his readiness for the biggest game of the year, those were Malcolm's own words.

If you told your boss you weren't locked in for work this morning and had a big presentation to deliver to a major client what would he do?

No, you said he was crying because he was TOLD WAY TOO LATE.
That means you are judging the timing of when he was told by Belichick.
You have no standing, experience, knowledge, or capability of being able to make that decision for a professional football team, AND yiu dint even know when he was told.

No you said by implication that you are a better judge of when to tell a player his role.
At least man up and admit to what you said.

What are you talking about? Butler said he was not focused and dialed in 100% and he knows that is expected on this team.
How does that not upset you. He chose to not prepare hard.

Wrong. Coaches decide who plays not players.

Do you understand what a fact is?
Malcolm Butler says “I wasn’t focussed ave dialed in”. That means Malcolm butler not being focused and dialed in is a fact.

You say if butler said he was ready he should play.
That is a supposition (if he says he was ready) followed by an opinion (you think he should play.)

Why would a coach take a player he feels is not prepared to play and then put him in the game later?
Did he study the gameplan at half time and gain two weeks worth of focus?
If you aren’t playing because you aren’t focused and dialed in to the gameplan than doesn’t change at halftime.

Please give me a list of all your comments on this topic that are not speculation.
That is rich.
I’ll answer in more detail later, but it occurs to me reading your posts, and I don’t mean this unkindly, that you truly don’t understand what’s being discussed.

Then you better work on your reading skills.

We are discussing butler not playing in the SB.

And it’s pretty funny that you think you know what’s being discussed BY ME better than I do.
This just keeps getting better. The butt hurt brigade is on a roll.

Yes, I know that. It's just nauseating hearing it referred to.

If you told your boss you weren't locked in for work this morning and had a big presentation to deliver to a major client what would he do?
Not to get sucked into the black hole that is this thread again, my thoughts are I still would trust that person getting done over another employee that's inferior. Or in this case Butler over anyone else.

It should be.
We have a fan base eviscerating the greatest coach ever because he didn’t use a player who admits he half-assed preparation for the SB.

Where is the outrage at the player who didn’t give a ****?
He admitted to being sick. That could be one of the reasons he wasn't focused. I'm not going to use his quotes but what he said doesn't exactly mean he didn't give a s***. With that being said, I still put him in the game because I know he can deliver in crunch time. If he didn't care, he wouldn't have been crying on the sidelines.

I'll let you have the last word as I mentioned above I can't keep getting sucked back into this thread. But I do like to see the back and forth bickering.

This thing about butler not being dialed up is a joke. It’s the damn super bowl! Anything’s better than seeing Chung lined up against a wr. It’s all BS! Thinking about it makes me it even worse. It sabotage the whole secondary. It’s not like the defense had Hightower out there.
The problem is Malcolm is the one who said it. When does a player come out and say, "I wasn't ready to play in the Super Bowl"? To state that publicly is unprecedented.

How do you explain that away?

With the 300+ pages in this absurdly long thread it is THE strongest indicator as to the reason why BB sat Malcolm yet 90% of the board refuses to acknowledge it.

Depends on the employee. Certainly Malcolm's 2017 was not as good as his 2016 but he still played 98% of the snaps. You would think BB would give him a few snaps based on track record but clearly there were other factors that in BBs mind did not make it an option with his readiness being one of the leading factors.

Exactly. How unprepared woikd he have to be to publicly admit it.
The guy BLAMED HIMSELF and fans blame the coach who’s hand he forced.

Let me handle the presentation after lunch.

What if Bill sat Tom? What if Tom after the game said, "I wasn't properly prepared to run the offense againt the Iggles defense."

Would fans still yell at BB?

Perhaps we can do like fans such as captain stone and others are calling for and fire Belichick. The we can hire Allen I drain and we won’t even have practice.

The problem, as you know, is the Butthurt Brigade needed a target to blame so they could cry for 6 months.
Their first target was Belichick. Since the Butthurt Brigade will fight to the death over their entitlement to win and their right to abuse whoever they choose to blame, it was already too late to think, and it didn’t matter if butler said “I told B.B. I’d i can’t play QB too I won’t play defense” it was bbs fault. Like every other Butthurt Brigade opinion it’s in stone as soon as it’s said so facts don’t matter.

He had BMDS....Belichick Malcolm Derangement Syndrome

We can only hope that more teammates have the same sentiment as Duron.

And again he could’ve been crying from getting the news, he could’ve been crying just because he became emotional during the anthem. No one on this board knows. We all have opinions on the matter.

Your opinion was that Belichick made him cry because he doesn’t know when to tell a player what his role will be.
Because quote “he was told way too late”

Because “he was told way too late” quote

The opinion of finding out his role (or lack there of) is too far fetched?
