Malcolm Butler Mega Thread

Oh I’m sorry Andy, if it helps you out let’s just accept your paragraph that begins with “it’s most likely” as absolute fact. Only your opinions matter on this board correct?
Nope but my opinions matter as much as anyone else’s which you seem to not understand.
Clearly it’s most likely was used to indicate an opinion.

And where did I say what belichicks policy should be?
You said he told him too late

I can’t be of the opinion that the whole situation was handled poorly? Is that not allowed on Andy’s message board?
You can have whatever opinion you want but you have to be accountable to what it means.

You said he told him too late

It’s my opinion that he was told late. It’s BBs team it’s his right to handle it as he pleases, it’s not going to stop me from the opinion that I feel it was handled poorly.

So your opinion is that you are a better judge of handling players playing time issues than Bill Belichick. Noted.

This thing about butler not being dialed up is a joke. It’s the damn super bowl! Anything’s better than seeing Chung lined up against a wr. It’s all BS! Thinking about it makes me it even worse. It sabotage the whole secondary. It’s not like the defense had Hightower out there.

I Know for a fact that butler handled preparing for the SB poorly because he said it himself.
Butler has continually taken the high road after the Super Bowl. Good for him. But it’s absolutely ludicrous for you to say you know something for a fact because Butler said it. If Butler said he was good to go and Belichick should have played him, does that mean you would say that was a fact as well? And even taking it at face value, it doesn’t remotely begin to excuse not playing him in the second half.
Nope but a reaction that ends with him crying probably told his coach that the player whose head and heart weren’t in the preparation for the game wasn’t going to have his head and heart in the game either

More worthless speculation.

Nope, the response would have still been along the lines that belichick had his reasons. We all know it.

Anything’s better than watching these safeties on a wr. I am curious to see how much zone coverage they played in this game.

I don't know about the other 31 (except for perhaps Mr Pumped & Jacked), so I can't comment on trusting their judgements; but I stopped trusting the Naked Emperor's judgement 5-1/2 months ago. He's feckin Dead to me.

As for what HC is better, I suppose, off the top of my head, I would make a run at Sean Payton when Billy leaves/is fired. As for which GM is better, I'll conduct a thorough search as soon as I'm allowed to fire his arrogant, incompetent ass.
As much as I get frustrated with BB, I really couldn't name one coach I'd rather have. However, I would like to see how BB would do without Brady for a few years to see how good he really is.

Sean Payton looked burned out until they hit on last years draft.

My choice is McDaniels and wanted him to be here with Jimmy G. This is how it was supposed to play out. I think Jimmy G and the Pats would continue their dominance in the AFC after Brady retires. But because he's gone and how difficult it is to find a good QB, I'm not to confident the Pats will be any good when Brady is gone.

What are you talking about? Butler said he was not focused and dialed in 100% and he knows that is expected on this team.
How does that not upset you. He chose to not prepare hard.

If Butler said he was good to go and Belichick should have played him,
Wrong. Coaches decide who plays not players.

does that mean you would say that was a fact as well?

Do you understand what a fact is?
Malcolm Butler says “I wasn’t focussed ave dialed in”. That means Malcolm butler not being focused and dialed in is a fact.

You say if butler said he was ready he should play.
That is a supposition (if he says he was ready) followed by an opinion (you think he should play.)

And even taking it at face value, it doesn’t remotely begin to excuse not playing him in the second half.
Why would a coach take a player he feels is not prepared to play and then put him in the game later?
Did he study the gameplan at half time and gain two weeks worth of focus?
If you aren’t playing because you aren’t focused and dialed in to the gameplan than doesn’t change at halftime.

More worthless speculation.
Please give me a list of all your comments on this topic that are not speculation.
That is rich.

Oh so you can’t show me where i literally said that. Noted.

Tell that to butler he’s the one who used them, and wasn’t them.
LOL. The fact it's been referred to so much is what I'm talking about. It's going to end up being a punch line on here.

Ok then, explain what you meant when you said he was crying his eyes out because he was told way too late?

If it doesn’t mean you think you are a better judge than Belichick of how to handle it then why say it?

It’s like you said the sky is clear and object when I say you said it’s not cloudy.

It should be.
We have a fan base eviscerating the greatest coach ever because he didn’t use a player who admits he half-assed preparation for the SB.

Where is the outrage at the player who didn’t give a ****?
