Major Gillette renovations planned

I haven't been keeping up with this, and not to be the guy who complains about a new nice thing, but...I was expecting it to be a little taller. It's certainly fat enough. If the jumbotron were an actor it would be Danny Devito in his prime.

It is tall enough. They won't use the entire width to project an image....probably will be something like...other game scores on the left side, an ad or two, the game in the center, and the down/distance/time/quarter/TOs remaining on the right hand side.

The center will almost certainly be a perfect 16:9 aspect ratio.

I started this thread but stopped caring about the renovation shortly after it became clear that it would not lead to any competitive advantage for the Pats.
Just wanted to let you know the new rebuild INCLUDED a couple of things that WILL improve the Pats "competitive advantage", among them are redoing the practice and training facilities, including a new weight room.

The "NOISE" issue has always been talked about. But overall the Pats have had a EXCELLENT home record over the years Gillette has been up. But that being said, the noise would be a LOT better if the damned red season owners would come out and join the crowd, instead of sitting on their hands and sipping wine.

I have often felt that it was a REALLY bad look for the Pats when you are starting the 3rd quarter and only about a third of the read seaters or in the stands. Looks horrible on TV.

BUT I gather this is a problem all across the league as prices rise and people who really care about the team, can't afford to go. And more and more people are their for the "event".

I once went to a game where we sat in those "red seats". It was cold AF....I was out there for the first half....then at halftime it took me a bit longer to get back out there mid-way through the 3rd....then the game became a blow out...so I went back inside for the last 5 minutes of the 4th.
