This past week, New England Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones celebrated his father’s birthday with an all-time memorable surprise.
Jones purchased his father Stacey a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible 442, his favorite “dream car”.
“‘Bout to surprise him with his favorite car. Hope he’s ready,” Jones said in a video shared by the Patriots over social media. “If he don’t cry, we’re gonna take it back. That’s the deal. Nah, I hope he’s excited. He’s done too much for me. He deserves this thing and more, so hopefully we make his day today.”
Take a look at how the special moment unfolded between father and son in the link below.
An undrafted free agent signed by the Patriots out of Auburn University in 2016, Jones will enter his sixth season in Foxborough this fall.
Before the 2019 season, Jones signed a three-year, $21 million contract extension, keeping in Foxborough until 2024.
