Don't think that would be enough. Look at what Dunlap just received. Mack is likely to make well over 20/year. That's tough for a team that will need to pay Carr next season.

Tough for any team to absorb that type of hit.

It's why I have a glimmer of hope the Jets may actually grab him. IF (big if) Darnold is the answer at QB, it's the perfect time to splurge on a legit star. Sam will be cheap for at least 4 years. During Mack's age 27- 30 seasons.

Seems like this holdout/trade may run into the season though. We'll see.

Everyone has a value. Not making someone a 20 mill a year player doesn’t mean think they are good, it means you don’t think you can properly build a team that way.

He is not worth 20 million a year. Only a fool, aka anyone working in the Jets front office would pay a first round plus some for Mack.

Mack is a stud, but I just don’t see the value in paying a DE over 20 mill a year. Hard to build a well balanced roster if non QB players are making 20+ mill, unless you absolutely ace all your draft picks. Usually doesn’t happen.
