Mac Jones working out with Nic Shimonek on his strength and conditioning

You ain't telling me about weapons and other than Rham I don't like ours. I want Two Rookie WR's with Starting Potential from this upcoming Draft. It's been a long time between drinks for us.
I think we need to give up drafting WR... it's not good. We also have one tackle who sucked last year and thats it so can't see past drafing a OT in the first and even then we need one in FA. The WR FA class ins't great but i think we need to spend there and bring in a good established WR that immediately improves the whole group. Hopkins, Higgens Keenan Allen are all possibly available.. I'm done relying on rookie WR that never ever live up to their potential and the need for tackle means we can't draft one in the first round i think anyway..

Wow you really had to search for that one... even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. I meant no harm in my initial post I just said we should stop comparing Mac to QB's who played significantly better: and I don't care if they played on a superior Team. We know Jimmy G can win when healthy and that Purdy played with confidence being Mr irrelevant and all that was quite an accomplishment. Let's hope Mac puts it together some he has quite a ways to go.

Yeah, when called out on your B.S. it's suddenly "I meant no harm!" No, I didn't really have to search for that example, it took me about 10 seconds. You have been a clueless Mac hater for many months now along with others here who don't understand what they're looking at. Hopefully getting yourself exposed and embarrassed will be something to learn from, since you have quite a ways to go.

There is absolutely nothing factual about your statement.
How many times do I need to post their disparaging comments?

Do you find it normal for an NFL QB to only throw 3 passes all game? Judon told the truth.

Remember when the Jones haters claimed Judon joking about Jones only passing three times was proof that Judon didn't have confidence in Jones?

Remember when these same haters said Trent Brown liking a comment on Twitter was proof that he hated Mac Jones?

Even if Trent Brown had severe doubts over Mac Jones' ability to lead the team, what do you believe he would have answered after being directly asked if he trusts his quarterback? Be honest here, which player is going "I don't know, man..." in that context? Not even Jets players were openly disparaging Zach Wilson to the media. To me liking a post over Mac being replaced is a better window into his real thoughts than that answer, but it's not a big deal either way.

We heard the same BS when Bledsoe went down. That Brady was only keeping the place warm.

Harry wasn't useless. He was a good blocker. He was only kept for 3 years before he was traded.
Wynn wasn't a dumpster fire either. He was actually a good LT when he was healthy. Moving him to RT was an absolute mistake by Patricia. If you can't admit that, then why do you bother posting?

Claiming that Jones is too sensitive is just asinine (typical for you, though). The fact you give any credibility to the report by Chris "F'in" Simms (who absolutely hates the Pats and BB) shows how you're reaching. For all we know, Jones reached out to Saban and Sarkisian to get their advice and Simms lied and didn't name people just to create drama. BTW, something you don't understand? This was Jones 1st season since early in HS that he had a losing record.

Anyone who says that they haven't talked to others about how to handle a complicated work situation is lying. I've talked to my parents and people in industry whom I respected to get advice and different perspectives. Especially when I was young and KNEW that I still had tons to learn.

Hell, for all we know, Judge is the one who made the claims to Simms. You know. The coach that couldn't stay in his own lane to the point that BB removed him and no one found out until after the season was over.
BB inherited Bledsoe and did not like him. It especially pissed BB off when Bledsoe went missing in Montana during contract negotiations.

Harry was a BUST. You don't spend a 1st round pick on a blocking WR that can be had for nothing. Brady needed youth at WR and Harry provided nothing.

Mac Jones is not a leader and took family business outside the Pats organization. Its no stretch to figure that Jones went running to Kraft. Mac Jones first losing season since high school. HAHA Where do you come up with these excuses?

I’m telling you now keep an eye on Jimmy G.
I wouldn’t rule us out as a destination.

Garoppolo isn’t coming here. He isn’t going anywhere where he would have to compete for a starting job. And the Pats are not going to bring in anyone to compete with Jones this season.

The Jets players wore Mike White T-Shirts during the season last year. Didn’t see Trent Brown wearing a Bailey Zappe T-shirt.

Their answers would be decidedly more tepid vs. "I love him" and "We've got a great deal of confidence in him."

Not even Jets players were openly disparaging Zach Wilson to the media.

OF COURSE they weren't! But they sure as hell made certain their real sentiments were leaked to the media loud and clear. By contrast, ALL reports are that Mac has strong locker room support, top to bottom.

To me liking a post over Mac being replaced is a better window into his real thoughts than that answer, but it's not a big deal either way.

Brown liked a post about TB12 ending his career in New England. Brown played with Tom, that's not a "window into his thoughts" about Mac's suitability. The one thing you're right about is it not being a big deal.

But you did see him like a tweet about Tom Brady coming back to play with the Patriots, replacing his current QB.

Or he was supporting Brady. Or he accidentally hit the like button. It was the biggest non-story of the year that insane Mac haters turned into a conspiracy that players in the locker room were turning on Jones and hates his guts.

People made the same big deal about Kendrick Bourne clearly accidentally liking and then unliking a post dissing Jones about not tackling Chandler Jones when Bourne is one of Jones' closest friends on the team.

Well, that is far bigger than wearing a Bailey Zappe T-Shirt to the stadium before a game.

Do you even know if Brown purposely liked the Tweet and it wasn't just an accident? Bourne liked and then unliked a tweet dissing Mac and Bourne loves Mac Jones.

This is what I wrote about Mac Jones after the week three loss to the Ravens:

"Mac Jones was ranked 11th in passing yards entering this week... he was ranked 24th in pass attempts. The offense is ranked 5th in passing yards per attempt and is ranked 9th best on 3rd down percentage. For those unaware, that is really good (deep ball) passing efficiency, in totality they're ranked 8th best in offensive yards per play. Outside of a couple mistakes a game (interceptions, fumbles) they're a top ten offense in terms of yards and explosiveness. Not a single one of his interceptions was the result of a weak arm... not one. They were the result of a bad decision." - Wozzy Oct 1, 2022

This notion that Mac can’t pass based off arm strength is a complete load a garbage.

The same way Brock Purdy, Tom Brady and Joe Montana couldn’t pass due to weaker arms but Jeff George and Ryan Mallett were great with cannon arms. The position is played 1st/2nd and 3rd with the brain.

After three weeks Mac was 11th in passing yards on a team that passed the 24th fewest times in the league. Mac gets a mulligan because the coaching situation was a disaster. QB fanboys don’t believe coaching really matters, so don’t listen to them. The Jaguars and Giants are two good examples of why coaching matters.

If Mac comes back in an optimal situation in 2023 and is still throwing interceptions… play Zappe. But Mac deserves first shot.

Nobody deserves first shot. You gotta earn it in TC

He won the job as a rookie, won it again as a sophomore… he will get the first shot in 2023.

It is clearly Jones' job to lose come the 2023 season. I don't expect them to sign a veteran to compete with him. They could draft another QB or Zappe might be able to show he deserves a shot to compete, but the likelihood of someone else starting next season as the Patriots' starting QB is next to none.

I love how we can have these certainties about the feelings of players we don't know personally. My guess is the locker room probably feels like Mac was screwed by coaching last year, but if they love him or think he sucks we have no clue. Not like it matters anyway, Ryan Fitzpatrick was beloved in the locker room, either the guy can play or he can't.

You don't know that! every Team needs at least Three QB's in this game Jimmy G would easily win the job he's not competing against much. On Offense ever position except for the Guard Spots should have competition. IF Mac struggles early on like he did last year he'll be on the bench BB won't waste a season at his age sometimes you can tell quickly sorry Tunecribe. They paid a lot of $$$$ for a real OC and better Position Coaches signs of a Team ready to compete I hope Mac get's it his NFL Starting QB future is on the line.

It isn't a secret that Mac Jones and Kendrick Bourne are close friends. They actually have their own special handshake.
