Apparently, The Ravens are saying Mac is a racist....

So ridiculous. This seems to be the new thing. Last week old friend Dan Skipper got a shoutout from Dan Campbell after the game and Skipper teared up. The video of it made the rounds on Twitter and Arik Armstead claimed he called him the N-word with a hard "er". Apparently it was determined that Armstead and Skipper have never played against each other and Skipper was on the sideline of only one game Armstead has ever played in. So unless Skipper spent that game shouting racial epithets from the sideline I think Armstead is slandering a fringe NFL player in his biggest moment for no reason.

I think this will force BB and Co to bring back last year's offense a bit more too, so hopefully more Bourne, Henry in the mix, less RPO's (dont know if they are related directly, dont think they are)

And then with Hoyer's noddle arm, there is no pressure for TT to come back.

Finally, and I hate to be the one saying first, but it's how i feel, if it is indeed 6-8 weeks injury, It puts the "Play-off hope" thing into stasis and realistically we would only go in if Mac comes back in all cillynders (Very good scenario) or the team rises up to the occasion (another very good scenario). So really, I think this kinda takes off some expectations from the team the year, i guess, at least to me.

Im at peace with Mac's injury, it is what is
TT got his preseason TD from Hoyer. Just before that BH threw a nice 41 air yds to Wilkerson (got it out less than 1.5s post snap) without looking like much effort. TBH, looking at Mac's versus Hoyer's series in preseason, Hoyer looked slightly better, even though Mac and Hoyer played against similar defenses (mostly 2nd stringers), and BH played with the B team.

Last year, Bourne got a few of his big gains (48yds, 46yds) from Hoyer passes. To quote someone else, Hoyer just needs to not throw up on himself and stay healthy, as he's injury prone. Chances are, he's probably not making it 6-8 weeks if Mac is out that long. Just hope we don't see SFO Hoyer, as that dude was baaaaaaaad. He actually had a 9-7 10-6 record with CLE in the middle of their 12 year horrid streak but just got unlucky with injuries. 1-4 with CHI even though he had fantastic numbers (6TD 0INT, 4 games 300yd+) until he got injured again. HOU he played hurt all year and had one of the worst playoff appearances ever.

Hoyer the Destroyer will show up on Sunday, but the question is who is getting destroyed?

That’s absolutely not what the tweet says.

From i get from the tweet is that the patriots want Mac to have the surgery and comeback in 4 weeks but Mac for whatever reason is not 100% on board and want a second opinion and is fine waiting 6-8 weeks with the normal healing process.

We have not had any confirmation that Mac need surgery so maybe Max doesn’t to do a surgery that is not required.
Definitely reading it differently. I disagree

Us and our final hopes for the season.

Schefter all but rubber stamps Mac out vs GB.

Can anyone vouch for this guy.
He is one of the producers on 98.5 Sports Radio. He is not super well connected like somebody like Mike Reiss / Curran etc...

I just hope this doesn't turn into a "will he or won't he?" thing every week for the next 6 weeks.

This made me lol, thanks

I hear you man, Im on team Axel all the way, even. But I gotta say, Im ready for when this team goes a little bit bad and a bunch of "Tanking" posts start popping

Oh man, am I going to have fun

I even already have the perfect bait, and Im going to be swarmed in work i think, it will be a great stress-reliever

Hoyer the destroyer would put a wrench in my evil plans

Yeah I’m sure he would be a team captain if he even remotely had that type of thinking with Devin Mccourty and Matthew Slater being captains and what they Mr Kraft and Bill stands for,
That makes me want to fight someone.
I’m sure Mac told him he was trash or something about the guys wife, GF, Daughter normal trash talk.
People are soft.
If Mac said anything remotely racist I will be the first one to burn my Mac jersey and sell my autographed gear.

Given the fact that Hoyer is 0-11 in his last 11 starts, voting for him is not going for the win.

The people who voted for Zappe, voted for upside and potential. People have already seen what Hoyer is and it’s not good. Majority of people prefers the idea that maybe the kid might do something than settle for assured mediocrity

I agree that Hoyer is not ideal, but that is who we have as a backup.

Zappe does not know the playbook and would be lost out there. This is only for 4 to 6 weeks, what upside is gained that can not be gained through camp next Summer? The chances of Zappe walking on and "doing something" are slim. NFL games are won by organized plays with everyone on the same page. Thinking Zappe will walk on, know the playbook, identify the defense, and change plays at the line of scrimmage is naïve in my opinion. But I am in the minority on PatsFans, over 70% think Zappe is ready to step in (or at least would prefer to try Zappe over Hoyer).

It does say a lot about the posters. Maybe a good thing, we will see.

Don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it were true.
Jimmy Stewart was the person who in the winter of 2021 reported that Kraft and Belichick had reached an agreement on Bill’s eventual departure and that Matt Patricia would be Bill’s successor.

At the time, I thought it was a very dubious report because I couldn’t believe Patricia would be Bill’s successor thinking for sure it would be Josh McDaniels.

Now 20 months later, Patricia had been signing contracts for the Patriots and has been practically sewed to Bill’s side since returning. Josh McDaniels has left for Las Vegas with Patricia replacing him as the de facto OC. So, Maybe, Jiiimy Stewart does have sources in the Pats organization.
