I think it's they've been yelled at so much about doing stupid stuff in bad situations (like they did all last season) that maybe they don't want to go too far defending him. But who knows.

Was thinking the same thing. They also probably knew the azzhole one-sided refs were licking their chops for ANY reason to give a 15 yard penalty.

This is becoming weird as hell. There might have been merit to complaining about a play or 2 that was deemed dirty by Mac Jones a couple years ago (I barely remember) but since then, it seems like players are just dogpiling on, desperate to come up with anything so they can be added to his naughty play list and get attention for it.
