Liar? Nice try dabruinz. I created a thank god for Kevin Faulk thread because I was thanking god for Faulk at the time. The Maroney thread was started as a rebuttle to the Faulk thread. Insecure mutch?

Damn, you're reading comprehension sucks. Where did I state ANYTHING regarding your REASONING behind starting this thread. You claimed you hadn't posted in any other Maroney threads. You lied about that.

I am not insecure. I just know english and you've show a propensity to not say what you mean.

At the start of this thread I asked for it to remain civil. You and your anger problems derailed it. Seriously its odd how worked up you get. You derail every Maroney thread with your rage filled posts and insults. Proof? Just read this thread start to finish. You come rushing in like a drunk angry at the world.

Damn. You can't accept ANY responsibility for your pathetic actions, can you? You got SCHOOLED in every previous Maroney thread previously. So, to beat your chest, you created this POLL to see how many people "supported" your idea. The only problem is that none of your poll answers support the idea that Maroney sucks.

BTW, idiot, I was the second poster in the thread. Maybe YOU should re-read the thread because you've got your facts wrong, YET AGAIN. But I am not surprised there. Its your modus operandi.

Da bruinz making things up again while in a rage

Listen, fool, I'm not like you. I've not made anything up. I've not LIED the way you have in this thread and in others. Heck, you couldn't even provide this supposed post where you apologized to me for LYING about my stance on Maroney.

This post contradics everything you have said to this point. You said we ignore the stats. So now you are avoiding the stats that kill your argument. I guess trent Dilfer is a better qb then Marino since Dilfer a sb.

WOW.. You truly are clueless. It doesn't contradict ANYTHING. But go ahead and think that.

Yes, Danny, YOU do ignore stats. You've done it regularly. And, no, I am NOT avoiding stats. When I look at the stats, I look at the fact that, unlike Manning, Brady's NOT had a consistant set of WRs since he took over this offense. Brady's O-line has used 4 OTs every year except this one. Brady hasn't had the STAR RB that Manning has had except for 1 year.

I've never said Manning's stats aren't IMPRESSIVE. But that doesn't make him the better QB and I never said it did. YOU foolishly made that assumption in a pathetic attempt to prove me wrong.

OH, and everyone knows that Dilfer did enough not to lose the games. He wasn't the one who won them.

So now only certain stats like wins and sb's matter? Guess Barry Sanders sucked. Ok dabruinz

Barry Sanders had impressive stats. And when you compare his stats to other RBs, they are impressive. But Sanders was a little b!tch and walked out on his teammates.

Oh look Dabruinz melting down all over the place again

Hi, my name is Danny88. I'm an imbecile who doesn't understand english. I make assumptions about what people say because I am clueless. I think that people who rip my pathetic attempts at an argument to shreds are having melt downs or in a rage.

Not to jump back into this, because Danny, NSA and VCPatriot have been shown to be clueless (whether deliberately or not) in their condemnation of Maroney and DaBruinz is once again tearing Danny88 a new one, but here's some of that Brady vs. Manning info you were asking about, Danny. And, remember, this is from last November, prior to the amazing season Brady's currently having. As I said, the statistics don't say Manning is better than Brady:

Have yourself a lovely evening.

Repercusssion????????????? ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude, what repercussions? I get to feel the wrath of the big bad DaBruinz on Patsfans.com????? LOL! Good lord, you are so sad!! LMAO!! Dude, I'll talk to your later. I got a HOT DATE tonight baby!!:singing:

Repercussions = people thinking you're an idiot. People blasting you for being stupid.

As for a hot date. sure you do..

I told dabruinz how I could win an argument with him that Manning was the better qb. He comes back and tells me the only stats that matter are wins and superbowls. You know sidestepping those stats like yards, completion percentage, td's etc etc. I dont think Manning is better , and the stats dont matter. But they are there.

How is that for flip flopping? Da bruinz tells us its all about the stats! Then sidesteps the stats. Do you know Trent Dilfer is better then Dan Marino since Dilfer has a sb!?

1) I have never said its all in the stats, liar.
2) I didn't sidestep the stats.
3) And YOU are the fool who said that Dilfer was better than Marino. YOU are the fool who sits there and ignores the BIG picture and insists on looking at things in a vacuum. Then, when you are proven wrong, you pathetically attempt to attribute it to other people.

You keep claiming Maroney is injury prone, yet you ignore reality. He had a SHOULDER/RIB injury that there is NO WAY to prevent short of NOT playing the game. The hamstring injury, however, is preventable.

And you claim that Maroney is not injury prone? He's missed at least 5 games in his first 2 years already. It's not a claim, it's a fact bud.

But that doesn't make the guy injury prone. And its just plain ignorance to say he is,.

Actually it's called reality. And I love how Maroney excuse makers play both sides of the injury card. First he's not injury prone, THEN you have to overlook his lesser production because he's coming off an injury? Which one is it? Talking out both sides of the mouth as usual, I see.

Now, there are problems with what you offer up.
You "NORMALIZE" those players stats instead of having the balls to go out and get them.

There's no problem at all except that it makes very clear how mediocre Maroney is in comparison. Even if those players had played only 23 games, same # as Maroney, they both outproduce him by over 500 yards. Pretty simple concept.

Also, you do not take into consideration that the Buffalo O-line, while its been poor in pass protection for YEARS, its been very good in run blocking. Also, you ignore that the COLTS O-line has been running the same scheme for years. The pats SWITCHED schemes. If you don't think that is hampering their blocking, I have some land in New Mexico that is located on the gulf.

Ok it's back to the Pats offensive line sucks excuse. Yes the Pats offensive line is SO terrible that this offense is averaging nearly 40 points per game! Riiiight. Does the Pats OL run block POORLY on purpose only for Maroney but not for Faulk or Sammy Morris? Keep living the lie buddy. It is quite amusing debunking your fantasies with the facts.

Since the debate mixed in between the barbs here boils down to whether Maroney is/was/will be worthy of his draft slot, allow me to interupt with some pertinent information.

Players selected in the #21 draft slot from 2000-2006
2000 Sylvester Morris
2001 Nate Clements
2002 Daniel Graham
2003 Jeff Faine
2004 Vince Wilfork
2005 Matt Jones
2006 Laurence Maroney

How many of those 6 player does Maroney compare unfavorably to? And how many, 3/4s of the way through year 2?

None of those were RBs.
So lets look at all the RBs selected pick 16 through the end of round 1, going back to 2000. (Quick comment after about yr 1 and 2)
Joseph Addai--starter
DeAngelo Williams--non factor
Chris Perry-nonfactor
Steven Jackson- 1791 yards
Chris Perry- 280 yards
Kevin Jones- 1797 yards (1147 in 2 yrs since)
Willis McGahee- 0 then 1128, at 4.0 per carry
Larry Johnson- 666 yards
William Green- 1446
TJ Duckett- 1286
John Avery- 503
Robert Edwards- 1000 yards, 3.8/carry rookie year, career ending injury
Duece McAllister- 16 carries as a rookie, 1388 yards yr 2
Michael Bennett- 1798 then 1700 in 6 yrs since
Shawn Alexander-starter year 2 1631 yds
Trung Canidate- 447

There are 16 players on that list. 8 were not even starters in their first 2 years. Maroney currently has 1256 which projects to about 1500 in his first 2 years. That is more than 11 of the 16.
There are 10 of the 16 players that there is not even an argument were anywhere near as good as Maroney in their first 2 years.

By ANY account of the first 2 seasons of these players, Maroney is better than about twice as many of them as you could argue are better than him.
It should also be noted that most of the best players on this list had at least 1, and sometimes 2 of their first 2 years as unproductive players.

Feel free to rank Maroney as a player in his first 1 3/4 seasons vs this list.
This list is ALL of the players at his position drafted in the same area of the draft as him.
Logic says, if you rank 8 higher and 8 lower, he has done exactly what should be expected of him. For him to be judged a poor pick at this point there would have to be more than 8 of those players, who AT THAT POINT IN THEIR CAREER played better. I think its pretty obvious anyone trying to argue 8 of those guys were better than Maroney, is out of their mind.

Finally, look at the good players on that list. Those that want to judge Maroneys career by his stats so far, should consider #s like Johnson, Alexander, Jackson, etc.

(Remember that Maroney due to an injury and being taken out of the 2nd half of 2 blowouts has gained 511 yards in 8 games, or he is running at the pace of a 1000 yard back over a full season) There are very few players on that list, including some who became great who ran at a 1000 yd clip even accounting for missed games.

And you claim that Maroney is not injury prone? He's missed at least 5 games in his first 2 years already. It's not a claim, it's a fact bud.
