LOL! Some Dallas fans claiming Dak is better than Brady

I think it may have actually been the most pass attempts without an interception to begin a career as Brady hardly ever played as a rookie. But I could be wrong.
its most pass attempts to start a career, rookie has nothing to do with it. You know what is interesting though? Brady did not throw a ton, like 400 times in 2001, and he threw 12 interceptions. So that means he threw 12 in the final 240 attempts or something. He also only threw 18 TDs that year.

The word "Fan" is short for "Fanatical"

By definition, ALL fans are supposed to be homers. I get a kick out people that claim to be fans of the sport. Their team likely sucks!

Maybe the level of homerism varies, but if you're a Pats fan, you're a homer!

Or in the case of whoever is making this comparison DFan 'Delusional Fanatical'

Dak?

Right now, he feels like he could take on the whole Empire by himself.

I came here to post this exact thing. May the gods bless you!

Be interesting to see how teams prepare for him after they get good film on him

It seems the Cows hot streaks last no more than two months, then opponents figure them out in the film room, the redhead is not smart enough to make adjustments to keep winning.

Dak's off to a good start...we will see if they are smart enough to leave him alone.

Just in time for playoffs

I assume they mean Dak being better than Brady was in 2001.

Who knows but it's an apples and oranges comparison.

I actually like Dak, at first I thought he was a linebacker until I saw him play. This kid has game, but there is no comparison to Brady until you start winning superbowl. The Tony Romo era in Dallas is over.

Dak better than a 2001 Tom Brady? It's possible but still very debatable.

Better than Tom Brady now?!?!?!?! Extremely laughable.

Now that Roethlisberger is hurt, Dallas could easily win out, their toughest game will be at Minnesota! They still have to play the Eagles twice, and at the Giants, the rest is Baltimore, Tampa, Cleveland, and Detroit.

It would be interesting to see what happens to Prescott if they fall behind. If I was Jerrah, I would keep Prescott in there.

Donovan McNabb was on the radio this am and he even went further, he said not only should they keep Prescott, the Cowboys should look to move both Romo and Bryant (both of whom have huge cap numbers and zero production right now). I doubt anyone would trade for either one of those contracts, but I don't think McNabb is wrong here. By moving them both, you leave no doubt as to what this teams identity is.

That Dallas v Minnesota game will most likely determine who has homefield in the NFC. Its a Thursday Night game a week after Thanksgiving (both clubs are also playing on Thanksgiving so they will both be working on a full weeks rest).

...Just because he broke one of Brady's records (most pass attempts without one interception).

Someone tell Dallas that its time to stop watching football

Is there a link to support this claim?

At the same point in their respective careers, it would be extremely tough to argue that Brady was better. Seeing at 23, Brady was on the bench for the most part. Who knows what Dak will be in 17 seasons.

The Tony Romo era in Dallas is over.

Reports was Tony was not that happy on the sideline in GB - he knows Dak winning a tough road game means he will have to earn his starting position again. But then he might know Jerrah's favorite Johnny Walker.

Sure, and Jimmy Garoppolo may be better than Aaron Rodgers by the same logic, but it's so unlikely that it's not really a discussion worth entertaining.

That was the year that he played with the sprained AC joint at the end of the year and didn't play all that well down the stretch.

edit: never mind... I was thinking of 2002 and was wrong

IMO Dak has been a very good game manager with a team that has the best O-line and a proper rookie star at RB. He has been very fortunate, for me though Romo is the better QB. Put Rodgers, Brady or Big Ben behind that line then every game is done by halftime.

Das been playing well, but Romo does make them a better football team because of his deep knowledge of the offense, as well as the defenses that he's playing against.

Dak is managing the game and playing very well for a rookie, but he doesn't have an incredibly in-depth knowledge of the entire playbook and offensive philosophy.. something that veterans build up over years, or even entire careers in an offense.. its the subtleties and knowing where every piece is suppose to be on every play without having to spend really any time thinking about what play you're running, or what personnel, etc... its just subconscious at that point and all the QB is doing is reading the defense and positioning his chess pieces to take them out

When it gets late into the season and it turns into playoff type games, that's when defenses start getting exotic and have film of every game their opponent has played to that point. Dak isn't going to be able to overcome all the crazy stuff that will be thrown at him that he's never seen before.. The older veterans have seen just about everything at this point, and that makes a huge difference from snap to pass

Not knocking Dak, he's playing very well for a rookie, no turnovers is unbelievable.. but sorry, the defense is also playing exceptionally and Dak is getting away with stuff because no one has had any film on him.. its just like if you have a regular group of people you play poker with once a month, then suddenly a new fish comes to the game and you don't really have a good read on them or understand their tendencies, so they can be more difficult to play against... at least at first..

They will need Tony Romo when its late in the season and they're on the road against a divisional opponent and need to execute a very complex/strategic gameplan

Knowing full well that 'don't bother reading the thread' is an option (an option I employ often) I still want to know:

Why do people care enough to push this post to 3 pages?

People think dumb things. I remember being laughed out the building when I said that I thought Curtis Martin would end up better than Tyrone Wheatley. Sure, I was right but I could have just as easily been wrong since it was mostly homerism on my part at the time (Curtis had like, 1 game under his belt at the time)

It's never gonna stop, so what's the point in caring? It's really bizarre to me that this thread about what a few randos on some messageboard had to say about a rookie they're all hyped about has gone past like, uh, 5 posts.
