Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

It’s not so much that he actually could have prevented the suspension. It’s just how cowardly and pathetic his surrender speech was. He went to the owner’s meeting talking big about how he would not be accepting the bunk report, then within 10 minutes of arriving he folded like a Dollar Store tent. Weird...he already had a prepared speech drawn up.

He admitted he was wrong, but he knew all along it was wrong. He accepted the punishment not out of an error in thinking but pure cowardice.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft: 'I was wrong to put my faith in the league'

READ: Brady's Profanity-Laced Response to Kraft Speech

Jerry Jones went nuclear on the league over Ezekiel Elliott’s suspension. A huge amount of people believe Elliott is innocent, or at least that the league is full of it, due to Jones stand.
Yeah I’m not sure how “Kraft had many options to contest it” turns into “I guarantee he would have win if he did what I say”.

The argument that he shouldn’t try because you think he can’t win is the same as saying the patriots should have given up at 3-28.

Is CMGI still around? Maybe they want the naming rights back.

Remember when monster.com was in negotiations for the rights? How cool would that have been? Opposing teams would have literally been coming into the belly of the beast rather than just doing it figuratively.

This ****ing smuck is really going to fight this to the wall.

Oh, so we want Kraft to be Jerry Jones now? Yeah, no thank you.

And the above quoted is a perfect example of irrational fans taking a story into the stupid. No offense, but it is. Jones flailing his arms over the Elliott suspension did nothing in terms of substantive good for the Cowboys on the field. And really that's all that matters. You can do all the talking in the world, but in the end, most of us are fans for the product we see on the field.

Speaking of which....what did we get as a product after the TB12 suspension? A 14-1 season by TB12, 27/2 TD/int ratio and arguably his best season ever. And oh yeah, world champs.

You can bellyache all you want about Kraft's response, but as I said earlier... if TB12 himself can hug on Kraft after this spa story came to light, surely we can at least try to see Kraft's POV on the Deflategate handling. Why would we be more indignant over the situation than TB12 himself?

PREFACE: I moved to MA in '91 (as an 8 year old) , left in '94, returned for college in '01 and left (probably for good) in '17.

Sharing a name with Bledsoe lit the spark of my fandom as a kid and my first Pats game was the week 16 OT winner in the 93-94 season over the Dolphins.

I mention all of that as an elaborate means of stating that I didn't really live through the dark ages of Pats fandom that many here have.

However, where I agree (I think with your point) is the following.

Posters cannot exclaim things like "pink hats who weren't here for the thin years" and then also have posters talking about how the Pats were a marquee franchise prior to BB/TB12.

The simple fact remains, the pre BB/TB12 Pats are basically the same franchise as the Cincinnati Bengals (in terms of overall winning %, playoff winning % and SB success) and I don't think there are many people who would say "Ya man, the Bengals are a marquee NFL franchise".

EDIT TO ADD - I didn't go back in the thread before posting this, and saw someone else had mentioned the Bengals proxy a few pages back. That comp is almost dead on.
I agree with the comparison to the Bungles.

I don't get caught with the pink hats, bandwagons and Johnnycomelatelys. My only ask is fans stay fans, be loyal and not jump ship when times get tough. Bashing and criticism are well within the charter of fandom.

You are wrong, and I have never deleted a post since I have posted here.

Are you really going to claim you don't know the post? The one where you lost your composure and used some unfortunate language in y direction? I never said you were the one that deleted it. It might be better if you were mindful of the First Law of Holes here and quit digging.

Oh Otis= Orthwein...

Yea...he was a snake.

You may have just offended snakes. Good thing there only appears to be a couple of them around here and they are nowhere near as poisonous as they'd like to think.

Stop with the yellow bellied defense resulted in a SB Championship narrative. It didn't.

Brady was strong enough to overcome deflategate and stand his moral ground despite Bob folding like a lawn chair.

Foxboro and Gillette could be no more.

Gillette thinking about pulling out.
Source? We have already discussed that a petition exists asking Gillette to do that, but online petitions aren't even worth the paper they are written on. I have seen nothing to indicate Gillette is actually considering the above.
