Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

sucks for him that he got caught in a human trafficking scheme. I assume he wasnt knowledgeable, but you never know.

assuming he didnt know, kinda sucks that an old widowed man goes for a rub and tug and has to suffer such embarassment.

I don't think Kraft is Man #12. I would be surprised if he wasn't already in Kansas City the morning of the AFCCG. Sure, it's possible to get there for the 6:20 or so kickoff leaving Florida early afternoon, but to me it seems more likely that he was in KC by then.

I've looked at the stories and videos of the Patriots plan landing on Saturday but it is hard to say one way or another if RK was there.
It seems that people have assumed that since Kraft is 12th on the list of those charged, that he is also man #12. That would be a heck of a coincidence, since the charges list is alphabetical and the police report is chronological.

What's puzzling here is that, despite a constant drumbeat to the contrary here on the forum, local (Juniper and FL) law enforcement have repeatedly said that the video tapes show full sex being involved, of all types, and often unprotected.

FWIW, the only videotaped incidents mentioned in the report involving a "gray haired man" occurred on the same date as the AFCCG which gives Kraft a pretty solid alibi. If someone want to take a more careful look at this and point out where I'm wrong, please do.

I can't say that I disagree. I'll just sit back and let this thing play out.

Exactly, what’s the big deal about Kraft getting a happy ending at a massage parlour. Hell we have a whole Seinfeld episode about it. Noone was talking about that being disgusting. Too bad the women were being trafficked but there was no way to know.

Not because of the prostitution per se, but because what such an action means for his judgment going forward -- I agree. The man is 77 years old and is starting to show very bad judgment in his actions. If there was ever a sign it was time to turn the reins over to a younger man, I'd say this is one.

Time to turn the team over to Jonathan so that we can continue the dynasty untainted from this action, and so that CEO duties are handled by a man in his prime rather than one whose judgment is clearly slipping in his old age.

Again, this is not to say that Kraft is morally a bad person, but what he did was foolish. The man is way too high-profile to buy sex and have it not come out eventually. You're the owner and CEO of the franchise with the biggest target on its back in all of North American sports for God's sake, why did you think you could get away with this?

Let Jonathan have the team and enjoy your retirement, Bob. It's time.

So on the one hand I could care less that Bob went in for a handy. On the other he left Brady out in the wind on Deflategate and was too quick to give up fighting. So it will be interesting to see how he handles his own punishment and I'm really not feeling any sympathy for him.

If he's forced to miss a year or step down completely, thanks for the memories.

When Otis Orthwein wanted to carpetbag our team to St Louis Bob Kraft was the reason he was unable to do it. Over the past 25 years he has proven to be the best owner in pro sports, in the process he turned our laughing stock little team that couldn't into a hated and feared juggernaut. The vehicle that success has provided him has been used to support many good causes, his philanthropy is well known and doesn't require enumerating here. Taking that into consideration I think he has earned the slack to let this play out a bit before the fan base that should bless the day he ever came on the scene starts offering him the choice of a blindfold and a cigarette.

It is time ... pass the baton to Jonathan and step out of the limelight. Robert Kraft you have made a big mistake and got caught in a bigger crime of human trafficking, bigger than the misdemeanor of solicitation. You will be fined and suspended by the league. Make your Mea Kulpa's and do the right thing and step down. You are the lightning rod for all the hate against the Patriots. You are 77 and you will still own the Patriots, but for the good of the Franchise you need to step down. Enjoy your life and the billions you have accumulated. Head up the Charitable foundation and enjoy the philanthropy you are known for.

I would also include a permanent sabbatical for Lefty.:D

Again this is not saying that Kraft is a bad person. But he has publicly embarrassed himself and by extension the team. That has consequences, and it would be a good move if Kraft acted to make sure those consequences were his to bear, rather than the Patriots'. Resigning as CEO would protect the team from any possible NFL sanctions so it should be done -- especially because the Kraft family has Robert in the wings ready to go.

This is why the other kind of "dynasty" is so important -- you can lose a leader without losing everything. Time to invoke this contingency IMHO.

Perhaps every owner, employee and player who has gone to a massage parlor (and received more than a massage) should be leave their jobs or be fired. Is that is what is being suggested?

Otherwise, the situation is that Kraft will deal with the misdemeanor, and the league will fine him, or not. There amy even be a suspension for a few games (I guess that means that he couldn't sit in the ownership box).

Kraft will pay any sanctions and sit out any suspension by the league. Why would there be any other effect?

If Kraft has hurt the value of team, it is he who is directly harmed.

Unless you've never watched a porno please stop blaming Kraft for sex slavery.

It’s more than that. This is a team that has gotten enough negative media attention over the past 10 years. Kraft should know better. Anyone who does this should have their judgment questioned. I certainly am not comfortable anymore with Kraft in a CEO capacity.

Irsay drove around stoned with bags of pills and cash in the car and survived.
Kraft went in to a strip mall and got a rub and tug and will survive.
The owners know that none amongst them have no sin.
The owners pay Goodell's salary.
Kraft did the crime and will do the time.
Goodell won't open the can of worms wide open.
He'll get this out of the way during the off season.
