Britt hints online that this will be his last year as a TItan.

Does Kenny Britt want out of Tennessee? - CBSSports.com

He had a series of really good games last season for Tenn. but then not so great afterwards and seems to be falling out of the offensive game plans due to what they say is lackluster.

I would think a trade for a lower round draft pick might be of interest to the Pats here and I would think the Titans would part with him early for something...he is a work in progress but others have done well once they got here and under the Belichick regime.

Worth a 5th or 6th rounder or not?

I think we met our quota for rutgers

14 games 589 yards last year, hardly great, in fact very average.

His best season was 2010 - 775 yards and 9 Tds.

Add in he's an idiot, he isn't worth bringing in at all. Vastly over rated player, let's wait and see what the Patriots rookies can do.

I think the next team he plays for should expect between 600 and 800 yards a year from him if he behaves himself and plays tougher.

Britt is a 3rd depth WR on most teams IMO and should be paid that way.

If Belichick is interested come February, he'll make an offer to him in free agency and get him for nothing--compensation wise.

He sure as hell couldn't possible do much here this season, and I'm shocked at how many people don't take that into account. Our playbook and scheme are very complicated, and the most complicated position outside of QB would definitely be wide receiver.

On top of that, what room do we have for receivers at the moment? We have Amendola, Edelman, Dobson, Thompkins, Boyce, Slater, Harrison, and Sims that are available (or will be within the next 3-4 wks). That's EIGHT wide receivers on either the 53 man roster, NFI, or the practice squad.

The WR's may not have gotten everything down after a total of 2 games, but at least they have been studying the playbook, had the entire TC, film study, and practice that has been ongoing. The guys we have now are in much better position than any outsider.

No, not unless our receivers fail completely. IF our WR's stick, we're sorted at that position for a while...

I have no problem with Belichick attempting to upgrade the position through the period of FA with either a middle tiered WR or a "reclamation project" such as Britt, but it's pretty pointless to talk about it at this point in regards to the 2013 current season.

lazy, doesn't put in the work to learn a playbook, 3 knee surgeries, and has cases of stone hands.

No thanks, if your going to sign a FA #1 receiver he needs to be proven.

Definitely would go after maclin or nicks before this bum.

I would much rather give up a 4th rounder for Hakeem Nicks than trade for Kenny Britt.

I think the thought would be that Belichick doesn't normally like to pay for elite WR's outside of the team, so he's much more likely to go after a lower risk/higher reward guy who would be in the 3-4 million dollar range like Emannual Sanders, James Jones, or maybe even Kenny Britt.

I agree with you though, I'd like to see Maclin or Nicks but the cost may not be worth it. That's obviously the main question, and something that Belichick will have to try and weigh.

With so many of our own FA's coming up in the next 18 months for 2014 and 2015, I have to assume that we're going to be pretty conservative in free agency--especially at a position that Belichick historically hasn't overpaid at for outsiders.

Hes a bit of a problem child, and Off topic that is a massive signature fratboy.

Not want. Dude's a headcase

Wait until our wr's develop. They have played in 2 games.

Don't waste $$ on Britt. Go out and get someone better if you are going to go and make an effort to get a WR

If the Patriots are still interested, I imagine Sanders will be looking to walk at the end of the season. He would be a nice Free Agent acquisition. Whatever money the Patriots have to spend in 2014 will go to extending their impending Free Agents and hopefully (my hope) to the defensive front 7.

I WANT the Patriots to have a beast defense in 2014. The Seahawks have proven it is possible to achieve quickly.

Tennessee fielding offers for WR Kenny Britt and open to trading him, per sources. Team said it's not actively shopping him.

Trade deadline fast approaching. High talent knuckleheads are here for the taking (Britt, Gordon). I say stay away and develop Dobson/KT.

I'm not particularly high on the notion of trading for either player because of their potential suspension situations but, if I have to choose between Britt and Gordon, give me Gordon.

Obligatory sign the beast post. If our Wr lay an egg against Atlanta Im interested to see if this thread becomes more active.
