For his ST play, right? Cuz he kept giving up big plays over and over on defense during last season and preseason.

Nobody ever improves, they're always the player they were in their rookie year.

Whatever, I know it killed you inside every time Crossen gave up a big play. Admit it!

Was it Andy Johnson who said Crossen wouldnt make it congrats.
Obi has to make it now right

Still think Crossen will have a very solid NFL career. Texans got a good deal there.

DMac - might be his last year.
JMac - might be his last year.
JJones - FA, will get a ton of $$$
Chung - Well, we'll see.
JC Jackson - Solid
Gilmore - Solid
Williams - Looks good, but different type than Crossen (and Dawson, for that matter.

Surprised they traded both Crossen and Dawson.

So much for Jonathan Jones getting traded.

Quite bizarre people thought this would happen.

congrats to andy

However, I think that lots of folks thought that neither Dawson or Crossen would make the team.

Yes, the open question is Obiwann.

Somehwhat surprised abt Crossen. Bill takes ST as serious as anyone & I really think Crossen will be cashing checks for years bc of that.

That said I dont think he was a huge part of our future secondary. Jones, Jackson & Gilmore could be a great group in the future tho. You need 3 solid CBs nowadays, esp someone that can play slot & run. JJ (binky from years ago) will be tested big time.

We definitely have a great group rn tho. I dont see 5 better secondaries in the league from CB - S.

Curious: which teams do you see as better?

Crossen was out of control last year in the secondary and seemed to reel it in a bit this preseason...but maybe he was still trying to impress to much with to many chances. Your right tho...he has ST ace written all over him....for many years.

Not sure abt better. More or less have 5-8 groups that depending on injuries are in that top tier.
Imo, no order, most of these teams have the best groups.
Balt, SD, Jax, Chi, NO, NE, Buff, Cleve, Cinci, Atl

No but players don’t tend to grow skills they don’t have.

Let's just fast forward this:

I say 'What are you talking about guys like Edelman and Stephen O'Neil look like drastically different players than when they first joined the team.'

You say that was just developing existing skills not adding new skills.

I say something like what the hell are you talking about, learning to run routes better and learning new blocking techniques are the very definition of new skills.

You say that's not what you said and ignore that Edelman was a QB to start.

I say something like so you're saying that our coaching staff can't teach new skills?

You say that's not what you said and call me an idiot.

I copy and paste your own words back at you.

You move the goalposts by using an incredibly narrow definition of 'new skills' to match whatever you think it takes for you to feel right because you are too insecure to ever admit being wrong.

I lose interest and make **** and fart jokes.

I think that about covers it.

Ok let’s try.

No, I say I don’t who Stephen O’Neil is an Edelman had never played wr before yet showed skills right away.

I say by skills I mean the ability to execute the techniques not the understanding of them.

I would not call you an idiot.
I would say I see a difference between learning a position and not having the ability to do the things you have to do at the position.

I wouldn’t move the goalposts at all.
I never saw Edelman lack the skills required to play wr. I saw him improve the use of those skills as he learned.
I’ve seen crossen be totally incapable of covering WRs that can’t even get a job in the league. Consistently. All the time.

I lose interest and make **** and fart jokes.

If you want to play dumb, go ahead.

Our secondary (especially cbs) doesn’t look so young or so deep now...maybe they’re debating paying jones? Extension coming?

Safety isnt so young but CB is just fine. Gilmore is 28 or 29 and everyone else other than Jmac is younger. Better than fine really.

This is Bill trying to recoup some of the garbage 6 and 7 round picks he traded for all those back up olinemen....Bill can't ever go into a draft without 78 6th and 7th round picks...

Thanks for attempting to add wisdom to your normal attention span. Carry on with your nap (watching baseball).

Yeah, and that’s horrible because Brady and Edelman.
