JoeJuan Williams arrested (drugs)

Wow who would've thought that a DB in the 2nd round would be a bust. I mean a DB was urgently needed and everyone knows that BB has a legendary streak of picking one potential HOF DB in the 2nd round after another.

Wheatley, D. Butler, P. Chung, Tavon Wilson, Duke Dawson, Jordan Richards, Cyrus Jones

Ps: I know it's way too early to judge Williams but honestly look at that list. It's borderline comical

We need a new scouting team scouting for DBs because they simply stink.

Bill's draft picks just keep getting better and better... First the class of 19 contributes NOTHING (spare me winovich games 1-8 and the ****ing punter)...looking like worst draft class in a long time...and now we've got criminals..nice drafting Bill, how bout next year drafting guys who CONTRIBUTE and don't ****ing waste picks trying to be so cute and redshirting professional football players...

This annoys me and I am not sure why. First time I noticed him was after a late questionably hit in a preseason game and I wondered about his thought processes. This arrest does not help in my opinion of him. Decision making may not be his strong suit. I know this is a small sample size, but the hit I am talking about was so egregious, in fact I have not seen any BB player make such a boneheaded play.

The Couch Fainters on Pats Fans never disappoint!

I agree, anyone that gives up on a first year player isn’t really evaluating. He played behind Gilmore, Jackson, Jones and J McCourty. All great to good performers. He had a couple of rookie mistakes out there but didn’t do anything to hurt himself either. Definitely a wait and see who is gonna have his turn.

Not talking about the player at hand, but come on. There are a whole lot of players that you can write off in year one.

I need to be reminded how Cassel & Faulk are linked.

(Yes, add my name to the frustrated posters re JoeJuan)

Faulk would have been the 3rd down back protecting Brady against KC in 08 when he got his knee destroyed if he wasn’t serving a one game suspension for smoking a joint. Faulk was FAR better at pass pro then...umm back up guy more of a runner....Sammy Morris! Whew yay stupid memory bank that stores dumb info like athletes names instead of important stuff like...when was my dr appt again? Anyway Morris missed the block that Faulk likely makes thus Cassel got starting snaps and eventually a starters contract that he never sees if Brady doesn’t get hurt.

Obviously don't have that police speed being caught so easily.

Patriots always had BAD LUCK at the 2nd round picks.

Thankfully, we don't have a 2nd round pick.

Matt Light, Deion Branch, Eugene Wilson, Sebastian Vollmer, Rob Gronkowski, Brandon Spikes, Shane Vereen, Jamie Collins, Jimmy Garoppolo.

Since Belichick took over, the Patriots have had 22 2nd round picks.
Marquise Hill died saving the lives of others during a boating/jet-ski accident.
Tavon Wilson and Darius Butler had good careers with other teams. Wilson's career with the Pats wasn't outstanding, but not a bust either.

But even still 9 of 21 isn't bad. That's a 42.8% success rate. I think you'll find that's about average for the league..

Care to rethink that position?

We need a new scouting team scouting for DBs because they simply stink.

They stink so badly that they found the likes of Malcolm Butler, JC Jackson, Darryl Roberts, Jonathan Jones, Cre'Von LeBlanc, Kenny Webster, Kenny Moore, Justin Coleman.

In case you've forgotten. LeBlanc and Roberts were snatched up as the Patriots tried to sneak them onto the Practice Squad.

It’s bad enough but you forgot Ras-I-Dowling.

The Patriots also used a 3rd round pick to trade up for him (which they later got back by trading down with their other 2nd round pick multiple times). They had to cut their 2nd round pick from 2018 (Duke Dawson) to even make room for him on the roster.

Basically they used 2 2nd round and a 3rd round pick on a luxury player they didn't need while they had other glaring needs.

While it's true that drafting isn't as easy as a lot of people make it out to be, it's hard to hit on an offensive skill position player when you keep drafting DBs.

SlowQuan who was a questionable pick to begin with: giving GM/BB another reason to Draft another worthless Second Round CB.

This new situation the Odds of Tom Brady leaving just went up thanks SlowQuan.

I had to google "legend drugs", that was a new one... then there are very confusing definitions of "paraphernalia".....

Legend Drug Law and Legal Definition | USLegal, Inc.

Legend drug means drugs that are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and that are required by federal or state law to be dispensed to the public only on prescription of a licensed physician or other licensed provider.

In the U.S., a legend drug can be a controlled substance (narcotic), or a non-narcotic drug authorized by veterinarians, dentists, optometrists, and medical practitioners. Basic-level registered nurses, medical assistants, clinical nurse specialists, nurse anesthetists, nurse midwives, emergency medical technicians, psychologists, and social workers do not have the authority to prescribe legend drugs. Legend drug is also called a prescription drug.

For the first time that I can remember, I thought that the Pats had a decent draft. I though Harry was going to be Bouldin type player. I thought Winovich would be more than a third down sub.

Sadly, the punter is going to be the only guy in this draft that is going to be any good. Harry is too slow, can't read the defense, and cant get open. Winovich may develop a little more, but he will not even reach Trey Flowers level. Williams is looking at a minimum 4 game suspension now, and welcome to the NFL drug testing program. Harris was put in witness protection. Cajuste and Froholth never even made the practice field. I thought Cowart might have a chance to be a steal, be he too couldn't get on the field.

So Bailey was exactly what we thought he would be, everyone else was did little to nothing to help the team.

I can't remember a draft class that had as little impact on their rookie season than this one.

Then you start comparing Harry to the stellar rookie WR class, that draft pick looks even worse!

what could have been:

32: Deebo Samuels
45: Irv Smith, AJ Brown, Mercole Hardman, or one of 3 tackles

In fairness, once Harry gets the piano surgically removed off of his back, he could develop into an actual NFL-caliber WR.

The bitterness here is tough to handle sometimes. Meaning that it is so friggin annoying.

I think we all need a break.
Lotta older guys who probably did similar or worse things in their early 20's judging pretty harshly. Feels like I'm at work.

How hard is it to NOT get arrested? Seriously? That's not exactly a Puritan level we want them to adhere to? I've gone 55 years now without getting arrested, It really isn't that hard to do!

I think it shows more stupidity than anything else, like I've always said, positive drug tests in the NFL tell you more about commitment than anything else. You know when they are coming, you know how long you have to abstain to keep your million dollar job, and you cant do it?

I could give a rats ass if some guy is smoking weed, but if he is dumb enough to speed and have all of that stuff in plain view in the vehicle he is speeding in, then he is an idiot!!

I guess we should be thankful that he didn't pull a JETE and have a baby in the car with him as he was showing the world his stupidity!
