He’s made great progress “learning to call plays in the huddle”? Good lord, make him a TE already: QB isn’t for him.

If he can get on the field as a TE, the picture changes. The gadget plays will be much tougher to spot, and breaking out one of them during a playoff game could turn the tide. But no one can convince him right now. When the alternative is leaving the league, maybe he’ll change course. Or he’ll Tebow. He just looked so deficient in being a NFL QB.
Usually the gadget QB is a mobile runner who brings in some change of pace. I would not take the ball out of Maye’s hands for Milton. He can do everything better. Unless we needed a 80 yard Hail Mary
The Pats have one of the most intriguing QB rooms in the NFL.
I know that guy, from somewherePatriots using unique method to develop rookie QB Joe Milton III
The New England Patriots are still keeping rookie quarterback Joe Milton III involved in the offense, and they're doing so by a unique method. With Milton not getting as many practice reps on the field, he has become one of the top users of the Patriots' virtual reality…patriotswire.usatoday.com
You never saw the Brady roast? The only thing that I ever watched on Netflix (and it was courtesy of a neighbor letting me use their account), was the 1st Season of The Punisher. I found it to be very entertaining and very much like the way the character of Frank Castle (The Punisher) was meant to be.
Agree with you thereIf he can get on the field as a TE, the picture changes. The gadget plays will be much tougher to spot, and breaking out one of them during a playoff game could turn the tide. Purdy would have gotten killed here!Give Milton a couple of years to see how far he's come. He can sit and learn before he plays in the NFL: that was the original plan for Maye. But some guys are faster learners. I am not going to boldly say Milton will never become anything in the NFL...we don't know that. Did anybody think Mr Irrelevant Purdy would become a very good player?? We took Zappe over him in that same Draft: again we don't know only time will tell.
Joe Milton will be haunting us for most of the 2030s should he not still be on the team.Milton is a development project. Chances he becomes anything more are very low.
Might as well experiment with this.
He doesn't. He's going to be a superstar. Unfortunately it will probably be for another team.He needs quite a bit more than that, I think.
I guess we'll just have to disagree on this one; I saw a guy with a cannon arm but no accuracy or touch. He doesn't. He's going to be a superstar. Unfortunately it will probably be for another team.
Maye had to do the same thing, as he had very little experience calling plays in the huddle, too. Maye just got waayyy more reps and attention for development (as he should). He’s made great progress “learning to call plays in the huddle”? Good lord, make him a TE already: QB isn’t for him.
