Jimmy Johnson:Jets will turn up heat against Patriots

Actually, the Giants were able to pressure Brady without having to blitz. If they had blitzed we would have won that game.

They mixed in a blitz every now and then but you are right, they did not blitz exclusively.

Seemed to me that they brought the heat....whether you call it a pass rush....or pressure....on almost every down...what would you call it? thx

If Brady is missing open receivers, as he was the first time these teams met this season, the Jets will be able to stay in the game and possibly win. If Brady continues to be hitting his receivers in stride and making the right reads, the Jets will have to rely on the passing game, and that really favors the Patriots, because Sanchez sucks and has the shoulder problem. Putting the dirty one on the ground a time or two will probably get him to thinking about that shoulder when he drops back, too, which would be a big help.

I wonder if Rex will be "turning up the heat" by electing to receive should he win the coin toss.
