The New York Jets have agreed to spend a lot of money on the wrong players
Yep.
Even Washington newspapers can't resist printing a "Jets Suck" article.
The article points out it isn't a good idea to spend big on a running back (in general), nor a interior linebacker who isn't a good pass rusher, or a WR that isn't even going to be the #1 on your team.
Then, the inconvenient truth:
Robert Mays said on the Ringer NFL Show yesterday that Maccagnon was spending like a GM trying to keep his job instead of making the team better, and he's right.
And:
Someone needs to remind the morons running da Jete what the goal of all of this is again.
Yet Jete fans are such morons they're applauding these moves.
The reality is the players they just spent big money on aren't going to improve the team much.
Jet-sam Darnold is going to be getting chased down and find himself on his ass a lot next year. Bell will be running behind the Jets O-line not PIT's. Teams will be able to run it down the gut of the Jets D. Crack head Williams might make for some good off the field fodder but his over-agressive D gets burned a lot.
In short, da Jete are in the same old cycle yet again. Tank a few years, blow up the cap by gettting some expensive "name" free agents at all the wrong positions, have a mediocre season or two, fire the GM, tank again.
