No matter how bad you think Fitzpicksix is, GeNO! is worse. It's a stupid move.

What's really lame is that it might even seem to work, because the Jets schedule is about to get a lot easier.

Seriously though, Fitz only got the deal because of an easy schedule last year. Thankfully they didn't let him fool everyone again come the easy part of this year's schedule.

12mil wasted, but oh well. Spilt milk. Time to see Geno/Petty/Hack and figure out how to move forward. Fitz wasn't forward. He was stationary or moving backward.

At least you are realizing that the easy schedule was the only reason the Jets didn't suck last year too.

Eh, he's a JAG. A backup QB who makes a career of ripping teams off. 12mil coulda picked up one or two nice FAs next year. Extremely happy he's no longer starting.

Geno is pretty terrible. Even if he has a good game or two to start, the wheels will come off. He's worse than Fitz.

Its easy for any QB to look good sometimes. The average NFL team completes 23 passes a game, for about 250 yards, so its not hard to make some plays as a QB. What separates QBs are mistakes and whether the stats come to build/protect a lead or to chase and never catch a deficit.

I can't believe his strategy didn't work:

1. Make sure you use every dollar of your gigantic cap space to win bidding wars in free agency, rather than wisely looking for value and using the space to extend your own superstars who have proven to fit the system.

2. Pay Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie more money now than they were worth in their primes 5-6 years ago.

3. Make sure you build a core of players over 30 so that when you miss the playoffs, you will also have zero talent in the pipeline and will be stuck with rotting veterans eating up cap space.

4. Take a victory lap with the NY media after another offseason Super Bowl win, sticking it to Belichick and the Patriots.

5. Don't forget the clutch quote leading up to the April playoffs when Eric (I dance when I make a first down no matter how far behind we are) Decker bragged about taking the division due to the TB12 suspension. Huge moment! That statement got Goodell and the NYJFL fans all fired up and was a key moment leading up to the offseason Super Bowl.

Need the Jets to start winning games. Can't have then getting too high of a draft pick. A nice 7-9 or 8-8 season would be perfect.

They have a pretty horrible track record with those top 10 picks.. It would be fun watching them blunder another one !

Honestly the Jets program is a mess. Between no viable QBs on the roster, aging WRs and no secondary even if they blow that team up there isnt alot they can do. Its going to be awhile until they even can claw back to their mediocrity. The only value they have is at Dline, unless they draft their face off next 2 years its going to be rebuilding for awhile.

Its going to be beautiful to watch.. it couldn't happen to a more deserving organization
