Damn for them, they had our coach for that brief moment!

Caption this picture contest!

Cover my eyes and guess who caught the pass? Sure, no problem.
Marshall? No? Okay, Decker. No?
Let's see. The defense caught the last one, so that couldn't have happened again.
Forte? No? Enunwa? No? Can you give me a hint or let me know if I'm getting warmer or something?

Todd Bowles has a pulse on how to keep his players motivated and hungry, just like Belichick.
Before Monday night’s game against the Cardinals, Jets quarterback Geno Smith admitted to being antsy about not playing, especially given the team’s struggles. On Tuesday, coach Todd Bowles brushed off Smith’s concerns.

“I don’t have any thoughts on a backup player saying anything,” Bowles told reporters on Tuesday. “They’re backups for a reason, and if they get a chance to play, they better prove themselves to be worthy of playing, regardless of who the person is.”

The Jets may have a new starting quarterback by Wednesday

It makes me wonder why they bother starting G?NO!. They know who he is and they don't have him under contract next year so if he goes on a hot streak (no matter how unlikely that is) he can walk, and their cap situation means they can't keep him. They'd be better off using the rest of the season as extended try outs for Petty and then Hackenburg, but of course they're the Jets so they'll just keep playing G?NO!.

Would the Jets get a comp pick if Geno gets signed to a big con- hahahahahaha! Oh, God. I can't even finish typing that thought.

LOL........even the term mediocre seems unreachable

Change for change's sake only. Bottom of the desperation barrel and it's only Week 7.

My best guess is that it's just Bowels trying to save his job. If he sticks with Fitzy there will be calls for his head. If he goes with G?NO! then he'll be seen as trying to do something about the situation. If he does the right thing for the organization and starts working up Petty and Hackenburg, all he's doing is making it easier for the next coach, unless he has extraordinarily good job security. NFL is a win-now league, and every win matters, so the coach is going to do whatever he thinks might get him even one more win.

The Jets have a few potentially winnable games coming up versus the Browns, the Dolphins twice, and the 49ers, and they might just steal another win along the line. You never know what can happen, the Dolphins just beat the Steelers, so I bet old Bowels and team is hoping to find a way to eek out six wins and perhaps save their jobs. I doubt that will happen, it's more likely they end up with two or less wins rather than six, but the coaching staff has to make it look like they're trying to get wins instead of tanking for next year.

Something I don't understand: Gee-No! already has proven himself incapable, yet they have two other quarterbacks on the active roster nobody knows anything about. Why not give one of them a chance to suck?

Now Fitzsixpicks against Gee ... NOOO!!! is a tough quarterback competition.

If you're looking for a steady, road-tested interception machine to see you through the season, you can't go wrong with Fitzy. It may not be exciting, but he'll keep 'em coming.

Now Gee ... NO! is a bit different. Has a certain beauty in his unpredictability. Runs around for 10 seconds before finding the DB. Throws a pick-6 straight at an onrushing lineman. You can be sure he'll screw up, but you don't know how.

I suppose it depends on what you're looking for.

If the Patriots can wrap up HFA before their 12/24 game against the jets, they should throw that game in order to 1) screw up the jets' draft position; 2) encourage woody to keep Bowles as coach and whats-his-name as GM

That is so cute...MacCagnan's mother took a photo shop class.

I can't believe his strategy didn't work:

1. Make sure you use every dollar of your gigantic cap space to win bidding wars in free agency, rather than wisely looking for value and using the space to extend your own superstars who have proven to fit the system.

2. Pay Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie more money now than they were worth in their primes 5-6 years ago.

3. Make sure you build a core of players over 30 so that when you miss the playoffs, you will also have zero talent in the pipeline and will be stuck with rotting veterans eating up cap space.

4. Take a victory lap with the NY media after another offseason Super Bowl win, sticking it to Belichick and the Patriots.

It's a good question. My best guess is the coaching staff things Petty and Hack suck worse than G?NO! at this point in their careers, and they want to try to get whatever wins they can get moving forward to keep their jobs.

That's why the Jets future going forward is going to be brutal. Oh yeah, just like their past!

They are heading for a major rebuild, and given this GM's way of building teams, it's gonna be ugly.

So after going 1-6, because we know Geno will lose this game, you would think the SMART thing to do, is see what you have in Petty or Hackenburg. They have to do that (right ?). If neither are the answer, they should use their HIGH 1st round pick on a QB, as well as make it a major focus of 2017 free agency. That would be the smart thing to do. They haven't had a good QB in ages, it would be dumb to stick with Geno for the long haul. Though it would make me happy as a Pat's fan

Shameful display by the Jests Monday night. Nationally Televised game!!

Most Jests fans have serious issues as we know. They think Geno is the future and should have started the season.

My wife's family is all Jets fans. (please pray for me LOL) To a person, they do NOT want Geno playing. So these Jets fans are sane...

...wait for it...
