Jets fans want Cassel

Re: Jets Fans Want Cassell

If they actually want him and they don't get him I'm sure they'll file tampering charges.

The Jets can't file tampering charges if the Patriots franchise Cassell.
All the Patriots have to do is negotiate with good faith.
The players association or any other team cannot file a grievance against
the Patriots. The only person who could file a grievance is Cassell.
If the Patriots give him an offer, he has no grievance.

I expect the Patriots to make Cassell a backloaded offer with a good signing
Bonus. His contract will be cap friendly the first couple of years.

The Patriots will then give Cassell the right to go out and get another offer
from another team.

Trolling at jet site tonight is very fun.

I have not posted one single thing negitive about the Jets. In fact I have been posting "GO JETS", "J-E_T-S" "Win one more" And as they know I am a Pats fan it has been driving them insane.

If by some strange chance the Pats don't franchise Cassel (well if you listen to Andy Gresch there is no way the Pats will ever consider franchising Cassel), the Jets will go after him hard. Favre hasn't exactly set the league on fire and the Jets would happily dump Favre and his $12 million salary for Cassel. I expect them to dump Favre even if he wants to come back anyway.

Cassell WILL be franchised. What Andy Gresch has to say is meaningless. The man is a fool to believe that.

Sounds like a fun thing to do, what a coincidence, my vacation starts after my shift tomorrow night? :D

After getting a final score on the Jets/Seahawks game (was at my staff party), my wife and I loved the possibility of the Jets not making the playoffs...hmmm, my letter to Santa must of arrived...:D

There is no such thing as a "system" quarterback or a "system" running back or a "system" waterboy. I have never heard a genuine, bonafide football person use that term - not once.

Exactly! every team runs a freaking 'system", that tired old line is just losers justifying why the other team has a better QB.

The "system" is recognizing and patiently coaching up intelligent talent....

as opposed to overpaying boated salaries for retreads in a desperate attempt to remain employed.

It's ironic that Favre is in the Pro Bowl but it, at best the 4th best QB in his division (counting Brady and Cassel, 3rd if you factor in health).

not within the division I wouldn't think. Matt Cassel > Drew Bledsoe

Exactly why I wouldnt worry about Cassel being traded within the division. BB knows him well, and can defend him, just like he did against Bledsoe. (and this is coming from a Bledsoe supporter)

Looking at the games yesterday there has to be suitors other than the Jets for Cassel. I think Detroit goes Bradford or the other one

49ers, Bucs, Rams.. they could all really do with a decent QB. Also the Vikes

BUT if only the Jets come in and they offer a first then we would take it i'm sure.

I think he was kidding dawg.
