Chris: Dion Lewis is a proven between the Tackles Runner against #1 Defenses. You seem to forgot what he did for Half a year two years ago look at his rushing and receiving stats he was a proven dual threat. Two years now removed for ACL says better days are ahead for Lewis. D.J. Foster is no Dion Lewis.
I said it wouldn't be popular
However it's a BB kind of move

Pats are fine at skill positions. They need help on the lines. And maybe a safety.

Idk about that. It's a little thin. We need 5 wideouts. I like amendola but he's more of a guy that shows up in the playoffs. Idk what Mitchell will bring because right now he's not healthy.

5th would never see the field. Would need 2 injuries for him to even be active.
4 wr is really the norm.

Not the worst idea I've heard
Id hate to see him in a Colts jersey though
No it's the worst idea you have heard.
Lewis is a better receiving weapon than Dorsett, not to mention the best RB we have.

I think Dorsett needs a change of venue. I think he would fit in an offense like this one. We can spare a RB even if it's dion lewis. Dorsett's controlled until 2018.

Just no. Lewis is our best RB. Dorsett pretty much sucks and is totally unneeded.

Can anyone say...2 TE offense? And 2 RB offense?

The 5th WR WON'T BE A BIG FACTOR THIS YEAR.

Comparing the route running of a rookie Carr with a 9 year veteran Edleman is stupid.

So let's look at the 4 'locks at WR

Hogan, outside receiver
Mitchell outside receiver
Amendola, slot but limited number of snaps due to age and injury history
Cooks either Inside, best as a deep threat to stretch the D

Why is there a need for a 4th outside WR since they already have 3?
A supplemental Slot WR COULD be a help.

The solution will be a using 2 RB sets and putting them in motion and playing a virtual slot role.

Exactly my point. So thinking that Carr as limited in the slot as he is could be counted on to contribute is just a pipe dream. He will end up on the practice squad and chances are he will be forgotten by next season.

luuked he will be on he practice for needed seasoning we would only need to activate Carr if another player from the position can't go he's not a Lock as some think.

I know that. And yet people name him for whatever reason when they talk about Edelman being out. It is the same people who just don't understand that they have been watching a guy catch a couple of balls in preseason against opponents that all will be without a job in a week.

Dorsett is interesting. Fast. Elite testing numbers. 5'10"/185+ (a bit bigger than T.Y. Hilton).

Only a 55% catch rate, but 16.0 ypc with only 25% YAC. Makes it seem like they were throwing to him relatively deep rather than underneath. OTOH, it seems like nobody on the Colts crushed their YAC percentage in 2016 except the RBs on dumpoffs.

I would showcase both Carr and Lucien this week to see if they can maybe fetch something in a trade. The Bears lost their only decent WR this week.

The Pats could use some draft picks in return.

I don't see much trade return for Lewis, nor do I see why you would trade him. He has a lot of versatility as a kick returner, runner, and receiver (see last year's playoff game vs. Houston.) If he is even close to his same quickness as 2015, his elusiveness is among the best in the NFL; if not, he is still a solid player. I've always really liked the guy and his underdog story, so maybe I'm biased.

Allow me to clear it up for you.... you aren't being biased.

So BB never keeps a rookie to develop?

There are ALWAYS players that aren't going to be contributor unless there is an injury. Carr is in that category for me.

In any event we will know within a week.

Landry had an awful combine including his 40. I don't put much stock on it. As long as you get open and run good routes.

Landry won't get the offense enough to help this year. It takes study and practice, look at Cooks here for the OTA' and full camp and still getting on the same page as Brady the season is 1.5 weeks away.
