Here's another thing Olave - Wilson and London First Round Rookies were all better than Meyers last year. Don't even get me started on my Binkie Second rounder George Pickens. The Patriots NEED to figure out how to Draft WR's.

Good post: some fans are so knee jerk in FA not looking at the Big picture: Lets say Meyers was a FA in 2024 would anybody here want Meyers over say Jerry Jeudy - Tee Higgins - Brandon Aiyuk and Michael Pittman?? I wouldn't they are all superior to him. Facts this is a very weak WR FA Class if Meyers is close to the Top buyer beware... what a difference a year makes 2024 will be Great year for FA WR's not 2023.

Jack many moons ago Julian Edelman was a FA who had a visit with the NY Giants. How he left there without a FA contact is a miracle to me. Danny A was making more $$$$ than Edelman who was clearly the better WR: who resigned for peanuts. I can't see BB giving Meyers $15 Mill market rate or not! Better WR's will be available in FA 2024.

If you're only for re-signing Meyers at $10-11M, then you are in effect against re-signing Meyers, period.

you need to look at the market, and be realistic with you assessment...

the importance of the wr position has grown exponentially over the last three seasons, with top flight wr's now commanding 25 to 30 million dollars aav... those figures were once only thought of as quarterback numbers... that expolsion in salary has turned it into a sellers market... the same way running back has been devalued, wr is now over valued...

does 15 million sound too high? in a vacuum, sure... then take a look at what other players similar in production have gotten in free agency... Christian Kirk 4/72, Kenny Golladay 4/72, Hunter Renfrow 2/31 (extension), Sutton 4/60(2019)... so guys similar to him are making on average 15m a year... Then add to that a dearth of WRs in free agency...

The last time the Patriots picked that high to take such players was 2008.

Just because one draft has 3 top rookies going high, it doesn't mean the next one will. Plus people on here were calling London the next Nkeal Harry.

In hindsight, I would draft nothing but All-Pros.
