Game Day Thread Jags @ Steelers Game Thread

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

With all due deference that could mean that you just predict that they will win every game. Take a look:

Quarterback Win/Loss Records | The Football Database

I’d rather see our defense shut JAX down and “only” score/win 26-13, 20-10, or something like that. The easier matchup has got to be the Jaguars, even if they play tough defense. We’ve seen plenty of them all year long.

This is the whole GB/SEA debate all over again. Like before, I’d much rather put it in the hands of our offense than rely on the defense to stop a high powered attack. Why try to win in a shootout?
BINGO

“Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler is known for slot blitzing, but he’s also a proponent of rushing three and dropping eight into coverage. This would be a great way to contain Blake Bortles’s scrambling and force the struggling QB to make decisions late into the down. The Steelers have a presnap tell here: If T.J. Watt is standing up over the center or guard, an eight-man coverage is on the way.”

“Each week the Steelers will employ stretches of “22” personnel—two backs and two tight ends. It’s a run-heavy formation with just one wide receiver. The Steelers should consider taking a play-action deep shot to that wide receiver on Sunday. Against “22,” the Jaguars move safety Tashaun Gipson to cornerback and either Jalen Ramsey or A.J. Bouye (depending on the look) to free safety. Ramsey and Bouye are both top-tier corners, but their experience in centerfield is limited. Todd Haley and Ben Roethlisberger should see how they handle play-action.”

NFL Divisional Playoffs: The X's and O's breakdown

hmm....so which is it. Is he fine, or is the calf an issue?

possible steelers arent letting on how bad the injury was?

I think Pitt will put a spy on Bortles, forcing him to throw the ball. A little wind might help them as well as the spy.

On the offensive side, I think Bell has a lot to prove, after his ill-timed contract demands. As to Brown, if he can draw double coverage, the calf injury could be less a factor to the Pitt offense.

If total points in this game is over 24, Pitt wins, methinks, despite that marvelous Jax defense.

A win is a win.

Since 2001, I'm 221-66 when predicting NE games (regular + postseason) in which Brady is the starter.

That's pretty f&cking good.

Dude, this is serious wanker material you are posting. Congrats on being so fabulous!

I think Pitt will put a spy on Bortles,

This is unnecessary. Bortles' scrambling was entirely due to an undisciplined Buffalo pass rush. Better gap discipline and he would have only run for 10-15 yards.

It will be around 16 degrees during kick-off. I just wonder if the jags can handle that type of weather. I expect bortles to suck even more.
I wonder if we'll truly notice a difference . . . lol

222-66 now.

It’s gonna be the same prediction I had for the eagles game. The jags defense will win the game for them.

Tomlin better hope his team delivers.

Won’t matter

Going to win the super bowl guys

Patriots offense would be in tough vs the Jags D, yet the D would match up very well vs Bortles & co. Conversely, Patriots D would be in tough vs that Steelers O, yet the offense matches up very well vs the Steelers D.
