You forgot Maloney. Sounds like you think spelling (and grammar?) are important. Good.

Cheer up. Willie was only here -- what? -- a dozen years and there were still folks calling him McGuinness. And as for that Bellichek fellow ...

Indeed. Is it just me, or does Handel's original post look like a German trying to write English? Alternatively, he or she is trying to look German. After all, we English speakers do tend towards being tired OF things and use so MANY versions...

. Now THAT is a great response.

Each year, right after the draft, we need a sticky thread with all the new names listed in the title.

And keep it at least through week 5.

WTF... now we need Day Care and Kindergarten Cop

If a fan doesn't at least know the top 5 players selected then perhaps we should send them to the PatsFans.Com Academy???

Hopefully, it never becomes "Moremoney"!

It is Maroney and that's no baloney.:rocker:

Ja, bestimmt. Aber unser Deutsch ist auch nicht perfekt. Oder?

Handelian FAQs
(Frequently Asked Questions)

* What is the correct spelling of his name?

The multiple spellings represents Handel's cosmopolitan stature in 18th century Europe.

* In German speaking countries: Georg Friederich Händel
* In Italy: Giorgio Federico Hendel
* In France: Haendel
* In English speaking countries (England, his adopted homeland): George Frideric Handel

(Note: During Handel's lifetime, his name was mistakenly written as: Handle, Handell, Hendell, Hendler, Händeler, etc.)

Of interest, he was christened Georg Friederich Händel; however, he first signed his name Georg Friedrich.

Well I hope we've cleared that up.
