Is this the end of a potential Chiefs dynasty?

Will be very difficult with the Chiefs cap and the other contending teams in the AFC for them to make it back to the SB in the next few years.

Jokasty...c'mon

Chiefs are a great team, no doubt. With that said, the possibility of winning three superbowls in four years is now over and they will now need to win a superbowl and reset in order to do what few teams can do. Even if you don't consider 3 in 4 years a dynasty, they probably won't win 3 in 5 years and they have obviously won less than their talent should have won. Bill Belichick would have won 2 rings with that unit in their 4 year span. Maybe 3.

Is this the nail in the coffin of a chiefs dynasty?
There never was a Chiefs dynasty to begin with, a team has to win more than one super bowl within a few years to begin being considered a dynasty.

No one is asserting that one exists now.

Hey, Chiefs fans! Hide yo wife and hide yo kids. Tyreek is on the loose and he’s gonna be angry.

Hill is gonna need to be paid one final time at age 29 and will likely price himself out unless he takes a huge discount.

Chiefs have 14 mill of cap space with only 39 players signed, and that includes 12 who didn’t play this year (ps guys).
So half of their 53 man roster just became free agents and they have 14 mill to spend to rebuild it.

I am sure they will restructure Mahomes again and keep kicking the can down the road.

They can't restructure Mahomes, his extension hasn't even started yet.

Yeah any shot they had of building a dynasty bit the dust today. For the foreseeable future, they’re just one of 4 or 5 AFC teams that’ll be in SB contention if they’re lucky. Their salary cap hell is about to kick in so they may fall off.

Anyways, the AFC is loaded with some great young QBs…should be fun to watch for the next 8-10 years.

Let’s just hope that we stick in that group. I think MAC will make a big jump next season and we need to add more weapons for him.

Who are their biggest FA’s?

Few words are more overused in sports than dynasty

A dynasty is something that only is achieved after years and years of success. Stopppppp

They have won one title and wouldn't even have that if Jimmy G hadn't wet himself in the last ten minutes of the SuperBowl.
Their defense is bad because most of their cap goes to the other side of the ball. They got, what, one sack against a Bengals team that gave up 9 sacks last week. Mahomes still regularly, stupidly forces thing rather take what defenses give him. At this point in his career it is just who he is. His performance in the three and out OT series was atrocious and he nearly cost them the game in regulation. It's great when he gets lucky and that **** works out. It looks magical. But it is not a recipe for winning playoff games consistently. He has a lot of athletic talent, but he is overrated. This team will be in the mix. But they are no more a dynasty than the late 1990s Rams.
Chiefs spent a lot on D as well. Take a look at the 2022 cap hits of Frank Clark and Chris Jones

They blew their chance. That team died after half time. It looked like they came in still on a rush from last week and that caffeine high eventually crashed.
