Frighteningly reminiscent of most every Mac Jones post-game press conference where he would emphatically declare "I'm gonna work on that issue this week and get that all cleaned up for next game."But you left out the last sentence when he said it starts with me, he's saying he didn't coach them well enough to execute.
I think it will be at around 1-10 or so when the first reporter asks him “if you keep saying it all starts with you, is the team failing because of coaching?”Frighteningly reminiscent of most every Mac Jones post-game presser conference where he would emphatically declare "I'm gonna work on that issue this week and get that all cleaned up for next game."
And I do believe Mac Jones did work his butt off trying to fix his massive flaws, but when a QB possesses zero athletic traits necessary to elevate a NFL offense, a future in media becomes a more realistic career path.
Regarding Mayo, I suspect he spends a large part of his week reading Coaching Cliches For Dummies.
The "It starts with me" cliche has a finite shelf life.
He is unwittingly putting a bigger target on his back each and every time he goes to that well.
Sadly, "unwittingly" describes many aspects of this neophyte's approach to coaching.
Clearly Mayo is going full cliche in the face of adversity in the case of 'it starts with me'. Whether the team is 1-10 or 10-1 the part that starts with the coach is the level of play vs. available talent which includes game planning and discipline on the field. If the prevailing wisdom that Wolf is directing AVP outside of Mayo's influence, it doesn't really start with him and he is coaching with one arm and many, many tongues tied behind his back.I think it will be at around 1-10 or so when the first reporter asks him “if you keep saying it all starts with you, is the team failing because of coaching?”
Can we shut the **** up with the diversity hire racist comments? He wasn't hired because he was black. He was hired cause our owners a moronUh if this is fckn true…he’s not a hc. He’s a hc in training…optics/diversity/suckup hire…if this was the “plan” for the first year, I can maybe understand. If next year it’s the same? He’s got to go.
I think there is zero chance that the OC reports to the GM.Clearly Mayo is going full cliche in the face of adversity in the case of 'it starts with me'. It is what it is. The rooney rule is there for that reason regardless. They got around it either way + HJBK is a moron. Can we shut the **** up with the diversity hire racist comments? He wasn't hired because he was black. He was hired cause our owners a moron

Easy to talk out of your ass with nothing that can be provenIf MayoNays were white, Thunderdick wouldn’t have hired him.
We don’t know but if you ask me if that’s true, I’d say it’s very likely. If MayoNays were white, Thunderdick wouldn’t have hired him.
Exactly, and it's not a stretch at all - DEI is/was a very big deal for many organizations. Also, based on Mayo's lack of HC or Coordinator coaching experience and minimal coaching experience in general it is very likely. We don’t know but if you ask me if that’s true, I’d say it’s very likely.
Hell they made race a topic in the initial press conference.
They are not winning another Game... we don't have the talent to compete. The Jets and Bengals are going to kick themselves at seasons end knowing they both lost to us.Let's see where we are collectively on this.
That would be a "yes," if I understand you right.Nay, Mayo should be One and Done he's way over his head. Not ready for prime time.
I expect we’ll win a couple. Some team who shouldn’t lose to us will be caught napping. Happens every year. They are not winning another Game... we don't have the talent to compete. The Jets and Bengals are going to kick themselves at seasons end knowing they both lost to us.
Does a Bear $h!t in the woods??That would be a "yes," if I understand you right.
