On the Falcons only TD, if that’s Gilmore instead of Butler in coverage, that’s a pick instead of a scrappy almost breakup play. That’s why Bill paid him, methinks.

Of course there’s been the problem of being in the right coverage and whatnot, but that’s fixable.

There's absolutely no need to even think about trading Gilmore. He's played for 5 games, and his last performance was his best.

With that being said, if Bill thinks playing Gilmore is not in the best interest of the team, he's going to bench him without thinking twice, regardless of the money Gilmore is making.

Hell, that's how this dynasty started. Bledsoe signed a $103 million contract before the season and yet he was benched for the 199th draft pick. And we're talking about the most important position in football.

I have the utmost confidence in Bill to do what he thinks is the best for this team. If that means Gilmore being our #1 CB, great. If it means benching him, not so great considering his contract but the goal is to win not to try and justify summer acquisitions.

To be sure, Gillmore, an approx. 5 year starter, after 5 games with the Patriots, who cannot be traded due to impossible cap ramifications, is so appallingly thoroughly and convincingly bad he has been put on ice in favor of using a couple of other players with a combined NFL playing total of about a few weeks?
