This is the most fascinating game I have ever watched. The two people most necessary to KC's success are playing like they don't want to be there. Trent Green looks like he was just a witness to his extended family dying in a house fire. Larry Johnson is running like a back who doesn't want to get hit any more. I like how NBC's cameras are constantly cutting to an impatient Damon Huard patrolling the sidelines and spitting into his headset, but what about Michael Bennett? So far the only person on KC's offense who looks comfortable with the rock is the center.

This is a textbook example of why you do NOT hire Herm Edwards to coach your team, let alone trade a pick for the privilege of doing so.

They had the camera on Herm after they showed Lovey Smith in the stands scouting or whatever. Herm was clowning around about Lovey being there, ha ha, nice day, isn't this fun, while his team looks like the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, or worse. Can you imagine Belichick, or any good coach clowning around like that while his team has looked like **** all half?

I wish Herm Edwards was still in the AFC East. His offense looks totally unprepared for the game. 8-9 men in the box and not one shot downfield to Kennison or Gonzalez. No play-action. Drops don't help either. It looks like the offense has no leadership (hello Trent Green or Tony Gonzalez).

With the exception of the Cleveland game, Green has been aweful since he came back from the concussion. On the year 7 TD's to 9 INT's. Huard on the other hand - 11 to 1. But Herm is a veteran starting players coach. Actually the work coach is a misnomer where Herman is concerned. He's more like a motivational speaker with no clue what things like clock management and strategy entail. It looks as if as some surmised he likely ran the legs off of LJ over the course of a 9-7 season too. If not for two horrendous throws by Manning and a couple of ballhawking corners this one would be over.
