Bledsoe did not suck. He was just a player out of time. He was a classic seven step drop and huck the ball down the field type of QB that was starting to become obsolete because of the speed of the game. He was a top QB in the late 90s.

BTW, you do realized that Bledsoe was honored by the Bills yesterday for his time there. I don't think they are having a Tyrod Taylor or EJ Manuel Day anytime soon. So the Bills thought Bledsoe was at least somewhat ok.

Bledsoe = Good (for this argument)

Bledsoe = Bad (to justify Bill’s 5-13 record with him)

You better stick to 1 bad QB at a time.

Right now Corky Jones needs your trolling.

You brought up Belichick without Brady as the topic and continue to cite his success with Brady, despite being corrected twice. Ian should charge you for bandwidth.

I did not that did that. I said it was a false narrative that Belichick would have been a mediocre head coach if he didn't have Brady. You are pointing to the years that he didn't have Brady as proof that is wrong. It doesn't work that way. He didn't Law, Bruschi, McGinest, Harrison, Wilfork, etc. in Cleveland or now. It isn't like the year he had Brady, he had the same exact team and just removed Brady except in 2008 where the team still went 11-5 and didn't make the playoffs on a fluke. And 2000 where the team was in complete rebuild mode.

I am sorry that you cannot understand subtilties of an argument.

We understand you are too ignorant to understand what I meant. You don't need to embarrass yourself by repeating it.

It is a false narrative. It is ignores the facts. There is no way the Pats win the Super Bowl in 2001 without Belichick's defensive game plan. To say that Belichick didn't play a huge role in the Super Bowl winning season especially in the first dynasty is just hating on the guy.

And as for his record without Brady, look at the QBs he had without Brady. It isn't like he had a say Justin Herbert quality QB.

I think it is ironic that some of the same people who say Mac Jones sucks and isn't a starting quality QB also say Belichick is a mediocre head coach and a product of Brady because look at his record with Mac Jones.
Belichick had Vinny Testaverde in Cleveland who went on to the AFC Title game with Bill Parcells with the NYJ (and won Bill the Coach his only playoff game without Brady) and he also had Bernie Kosar in Cleveland, who went to the AFC title game only one season before Bill the Coach took over in Cleveland.
In fact, Bill the Coach took over a Cleveland team that had made the playoffs 5/6 prior seasons and had made the afc title game three times. Some might say Bill the Coach ran the Cleveland Browns franchise into the ground.

One thing that I noticed seeing live in person is how each and every drive of ours was a struggle while dak was able to really sling it away and I think Mac had more than 3 seconds in the pocket.

It's just that nobody could even get open in 3 seconds including Douglas.it looked like Alabama was playing a HS team. We were rank bad .

The defense played lights out till gonzo was there and fell apart after he was downgraded .

I think we need to have 80% of the team on vet minimum or rookie an dremainibg should be all pros . On defense peppers and Dugger looked okay. Whenever there was a long pass Bryant was near the receiver after the caught it.

Again, you are comparing apples to oranges. The 1997 Browns were not the 2001 Patriots. And it goes far beyond Brady.

Let Rob work his way through the stages…he’s still near the peak for time being. Patience.

Bledsoe was a good QB. He had a number of good years before Brady took over and after. He just wasn't a good fit here. He was very good in 2002. The team around him sucked.

I bet it goes really far Rob. Everyone is in on it too. It’s a league wide conspiracy to prevent Belichick from succeeding without Brady. It goes back generations.

Regardless if they decide to keep BB or not there needs to be a resource ban defensively. If they want to tag Dugger fine but players 15-23 on defense should be filled with vet. min, day 3 draft picks & udfas. The 100+ million in cap space & draft picks should be spent almost exclusively on offense. No more paying starter money to backups while the offense plays 6th round rookie WRs and fringe roster tackles.
I always thought it's such a coincidence Bill spends a lot on the side of the ball where his kids coach.

So Bledsoe was good for a number of years including 2002, Bill went 5-13 with him in 2000-01, and you just claimed Bill could have won championships with a bunch of other QBs in the early 2000s? Got it.

LOL! Keep trying! As soon as you can master reading two and three syllable words, you can aspire to be as good as me. Keep sounding them out and you will get there.

BB should be allowed to fix the QB position.

Either by FA or draft.
