I’ve seen patriot teams with worst talent have better results on the field.

Agholor is graded #47 out of 105. Not terrible (#46 last season).

Judon is graded #85 out of 102 (#24 pass rush grade). Terrible against the run.
I just realized that was a typo with my second player, I meant Jonnu Smith.

Judon is doing what they're asking with pass rush, but as you noted isn't doing much against the run.

Judon has been fine against the run.

Yea Judon grades out at 94 out of 95 against the run. He's really good when dropping into coverage though (#7).

Jonnu is god awful.

Some fans have no concept of the difference between a lack of talent and simple poor execution. This team isn’t lacking talent, they’re playing poorly.

2008 they lost 5 more games than the year before. It was an undefeated super team that didnt make the playoffs. 2016. Won on a missed arizona FG, Jimmy could not stay healthy through the second game. Brissett won against texans when the texans fumbled 3 times inside their own 25, also was shut out by the Bills at him in that same year.
The biggest difference was the Brady led Patriots a year before averaged a whopping 10 points per game more than the Cassell led Patriots. That's a big difference in points.

Players win games, coaches lose them.

Averaging 10 points a game more is huge. That is literally the difference between top 5 offense in points and bottom 5 offense in points.

And this looks like an undisciplined poorly coached team. My hope lays in the fact that execution can improve, teams lacking talent can’t say the same.

So embarassing to see that on this forum, but Mr. Paycheckloan was also flapping his gums this offseason that the 2020 team COULDA won 10/11 games if only they didn’t make key mistakes because, you know, the other team always plays at its ceiling and never makes fixable mistakes when the Patriots win a close one.

The one team the Patriots have beaten has been outscored 70-20 and served up four unforced INTs, and the best QB they faced is really a backup at best, but let’s talk about how this team should be 2-1.

The Saints miss two field goals, but that’s just normal stuff…Tua throws a beyond terrible game losing interception despite leading with a few minutes left, but that’s normal stuff, Jets throw four picks to the wrong team, and we can expect that. But the Patriots mistakes are all uncharacteristic and don’t really count because they’ll fix them. Mac’s INTs are flukes, but that ”touchdown pass” wasn’t **** lucky or anything.
I really hope we don't become the Jete

Quite odd he said that given the way 2019 played out. Even though he was quoting the media, that comment in 2018 was accurate as that team really wasn’t that good.

So i need to be patient. We are taking on last years Superbowl champs, i get it. O.k. Become a Patient Patriots fan with me. What 1 sign would i like to see Sunday that this team is improving? O-line pass protect better, Mac jones 1 sack allowed?
D-Line slowing the run, no 100 yard rusher?
Patriots with 100+ yards running from scrimmage?
Patriots with a 300 yards of passing offense?
A passing Red Zone Touchdown?
Brady sacked 4 times?

My choice is a passing Red Zone touchdown.
Thoughts? B.T.W. Tampa's going beat us.

In 2008 bill went 11-5 with Matt cassel at qb...
Throwing to Moss and Welker, with a very good OL and a decent running game (513/2278/21/4.4)

belichick is 70. He’s losing it. Time to get out!

find some young blood

I dont think Mac is the issue either. Granted he is a rookie but hes playing better than most rookies out there. Mac cant block and catch the ball. Defenses know we have a rookie so theyre blitzing on every other play and as we saw in the super bowl, it doesnt matter if you have Mahomes out there, poor O line play always equals a loss.
Mac is definitely part of the problem. He's playing great for a rookie, but he's also not moving correctly in the pocket in a good amount of plays. Getting either too deep or too high up in the pocket and losing his pass pro

But why continue having a complicated system when it prevents players from coming in and picking it up quickly?
Because 6 superbowl in 9 appearances
