Holy **** you guys. We were down 28-3 in the Super Bowl and won.

All the Pats' quotes about "we're not done" and "we're gonna make a story" sound prophetic in the aftermath of winning. But they would have said the same things if they had lost. It is not just about not quitting - it is the Super Bowl after all - but knowing what to do to come back. What to do different and what not to do. Brady took some serious risks on that last drive in regulation cause he had to - and with a different bounce or better hands on Alford - the outcome could have been reversed. The line between winning and losing is very thin.

Thanks to all for sharing their game.....it makes me realize there are many other fanatics just like me....

You my friend had my favorite post, "...I know I should be really mad right now but all I can do is laugh..." -Froob

I've been through a lot of these things over many, many years, and my apprehensive pre-game posts turned out to be prophetic, but I'd said since August that this would be our toughest game. My positive, encouraging, strategic and still excited posts halftime and after were met with some dislikes and abuse here, but I was never hypnotized by the score. A lot of things still did not go right for us after the half, and clock management became of course crucial. The Pats kept playing. It's what you have to do. It doesn't have to be perfect, there's no magic formula, but you really have to keep your eye on the ball. We've seen comebacks like this from the Celtics, Bruins and Red Sox before on the biggest stage, but the Pats can now join them. Seattle was a comeback as well, and hugely clutch, but this one required some serious character, and I think Brady set the tone for everybody else. He, like Grogan, never believes he is out of a game.
Haha, this will explain my erotic posting, went back to my old snapface story.

Not sure anyone on the Hawks cares, but that sign is savage.

We were at a friend's Superbowl party (all rabid Pats fans). At halftime I said to my wife, "Maybe we should go home" since we had a half-hour drive home and our kid had school the next day. We decided to stick around for the halftime show and see how it went. When it got to 28-3 we were thisclose to leaving but decided to give them one more chance. Then they made it 28-9 and we were "ok, let's wait a little longer before we go", then it was 28-12 and we were "at least it's beginning to approach being respectable, and let's see what happens". The the strip sack and it was "Holy crap! They have a shot!". When they made it 28-20 we of course decided we were staying to the end. Thought it was essentially all over after the Julio Jones catch and then couldn't believe the sack-hold-incomplete sequence. When NE was on their final drive I felt pretty good about them scoring (after they escaped the 3rd down in the shadow of their goalposts) but kept thinking "watch this -- they'll score and then fail the 2pc like last year and lose 28-26." Once they tied it I was really worried about Atlanta getting into FG range, especially with the chunk plays they'd been pulling off all game. When it got to the OT coin toss I felt pretty confident that if NE won the toss they'd either win outright or at least go up 3. And once the refs called the DPI and put the ball first and goal at the 2 I was virtually 100% confident NE would get the TD and win the game.
