On caserio many don't know he was a QB and played with Josh McDaniels and McDaniels brother. When Josh got hired as a 20 something year old quality control guy for Bill.. Bill asked Josh if he knew any friends that had his work ethics... caserio was the guy! He's got a great young QB in Houston a great young HC and that franchise is on the upswing.

Instead of beating my head against the wall about Mayo I've resigned to the fact he will be here at least throughout next season. The team with all the available cap space and draft capital projects to be a much better roster around. If he is still failing as a coach then changes will be made.
Mayo deserves more support than he's getting from the fans here. I wonder if they were like that when Bill started?

"Deserve's got nothing to do with it."

Agreed. Bill said recently on coaches corner.. that when he was a rookie HC he learned on the job.. he made mistakes.

Yes, Bill was on the hot seat. He was brought in to get the Pats back to Super Bowl contention, but went 5-11 in 2000 which was something many didn’t see coming.

I was disappointed in how he gutted the team and how pedestrian they were looking offensively. I thought 2001 was going to be his final season after starting 0-2.

With that said, you can’t compare Mayo to BB at all.

Okay the draft didn’t meet expectations, but thankfully Wolf gave us these gems:

You left out all of his acquisitions off the waiver wire. I think they have started more games and played more snaps than that entire list.

So if we include Jordan who we cut the claimed plus the other waiver wire guys Jacobs, Brown, smith, Roy, nagokwe, Johnson, Jacobs guys that we cut before the season (i may have missed a couple) have started 31 games for us and played 2076 snaps.
While free agents that wild pursued, targets and signed have started 27 games and played 1952 snaps.

Should we replace Wolf with a dart?

Good point. Perhaps a more resourceful fan could assemble the complete list of acquisitions?
