Harmon Visits Costa Rica...

This whole conversation reminds me of how one of the justifications the DOJ (IIRC) used for keeping Weed schedule 1 and illegal is that if you get arrested for weed it is really bad for you.

Of course a cop of 30 years has seen lives destroyed by weed.

Just like a doctor has seen lives destroyed by cheeseburgers

I hope that Bill has Tre Boston's agent's phone numbers handy, just in case.

First off that is an ******* thing to say, secondly I wasn't taking about my kids. I was talking about the kids whose lives I've seen ruined by drugs over 30 years of being a cop. Feel free to have your 12 year old toke up, but don't blame me, when they drop out of school, get arrested, develop mental health issues and the only job they can get pays minimum wage.
Well unless we’re going to outlaw everything that’s bad for you (cigarettes, twinkies, alcohol), let people make their own decisions. Educate people and let em make their own decisions.

I don't think Harmon will miss any snaps, but ya never know with Goodell's BS personal conduct policy.... However, this will put him in the drug testing protocol...so he'll have to '86 weed going forward.

Times are different from the Ty Law days when he was caught at the Canadian border with some stuff...

I am sure we can point out many alcoholics that are successful as well. A few of them float through life. For every Jobs there are a thousand moving to Colorado or legalized states and winding up on the streets impaired and homeless. It's not just alcohol.

I am horrified by the mass killings. But....How many people have gotten killed with an AK15 in this country that the NRA is now made to blame. 5 million law abiding people are being tagged as having blood on their hands by the so called progressives, but I will be willing to bet anything you want, Cruz and the last mass killers out there had toked with hours or minutes when they made the decision to mow people down in a schizophrenic rage of hostility. The POT people will cover that up. I want to see the link from weed to those coward killers.

Yep you were one of the few to be a successful stoner. I am genuinely happy you made it unscathed. Unfortunately some politicians do not want you to know that a possible link between these mass killings could have been could be the psychotic result of smoking that GD weed. Some people are mentally disabled by weed as well as alcohol. And I am not a drinker.

It's not addictive...please. Our Safety Snoop Dog Harmon just proved it was. Multi million dollar career that he could care less about as long as he could have a toke.

Where are the thousands of marchers demanding that POT be banished in every state because stoned people have killed and maimed more people in "accidents" and stupidity than the combination of all U.S. mass killing these last few years? We have an LB who almost lost his life and wife to a stoner. How many of those marchers will toke up?

Surely you jest. This is a joke, right?

Wont Harmon be under the NFL substance abuse testing policy?

Belichick will not release a team captain for Weed

Agreed.
A bubble player would be cut. An important player results in the team looking the other way. The NFL is a business.

I'm pretty sure since he had concentrates, it's viewed by the legal system as more in the same vein as black tar heroin than weed.

A good lawyer can get him 5 - 10. Maybe out in 9 for good behavior.

What on God’s earth are you talking about?

Duron Harmon isn’t going to serve any time for getting caught with a couple oz. of some weed, whether it’s in flower, concentrate, wax, oil, tinctures, vape pens, or whatever form.

You think he’s going to serve 9 years for possessing a couple/few oz. of weed? Lol.

Mother of God

Honestly that post is such an impossible gem that I can't believe it's 100% unironic. It might be the best post in Patsfans history.

He’s NOT my cousin, period.

Let’s get one thing clear: marijuana was not made illegal because it caused “insanity, criminality, and death” as was claimed by Harry J. Anslinger. It was made illegal in an attempt to control Mexican immigration into the United States and to help boost the profits of large pharmaceutical companies.

Humans have been using the plant for almost 10,000 years to make necessary items such as clothing and pottery. But the first direct reference to a cannabis product as a “psychoactive agent” dates back to 2737 BC in the writings of the Chinese emperor Shen Nung.

Southern states feared the plant so much, it was called the "marijuana menace."

The focus was on its healing powers, primarily how it healed diseases such as malaria and even "absent-mindlessness." The plant was used recreationally by Indians and Muslims as well."

The Racist Roots of Marijuana Prohibition | David McDonald

Look, I studied and argued for decriminalization of marijuana in the late 60's and into the 70's. Harry J. Anslinger brought a Mississippi state senator before Congress in 1938 whereupon he testified that black men high on hop were raping white women . One uncorroborated testimony was all it took. Amphetamine and methamphetamine
didn't have a pharmacological use until 1934, when Smith, Kline and French began selling amphetamine as an inhaler under the trade name Benzedrine as a decongestant. During World War II, amphetamine and methamphetamine were used extensively by both the Allied and Axis forces for their stimulant and performance-enhancing effects. In 1938, Anslinger used the bill for the illegalization of cocaine as the vehicle to illegalize weed.

Look behind the scenes at the BACKERS the past 75 years of keeping weed illegal and you'll find "Partnership For A Drug Free America", for example, is almost completely funded by....wait for it.....BIG PHARM. All of you are living in the Matrix.
