Gronk Watch

I half believe there is an edict to go low on Gronk. Ward does it, then again he does it to everyone. I'm sure in Denver they encourage it, because he's a massive threat to them. If Witten or Gonzales were on the Pats, the same would be happening.

Witten and Gonzalez played with less speed and veracity. This is what puts Gronk above all TEs, but also makes him more susceptible to blows against the knee. Just different types of players having the same position.

Its become clearer that it was a bad move for Gronk to personally talk about his injury and say that he'll come back when he is 100%. I don't think he meant it that way (as it's very JD Drew-ish) but the issue is that hes opened up to some unfair perception by some who think he is not a gamer.

I doubt that he gives a **** what people on message boards think for the 3-4 weeks he is out. Once he is back everyone will revert back to loving him anyway.

The fact is, Gronkowski has a more serious injury than some people here realize. The bruise is deep... to the bone, which is different from the bruising one sees near the surface of the skin.

You are 100% right that this is a more serious injury than people realize, however it is not simply a Bruise that goes to the bone, it is not a deep bruise. It is a Bone Bruise, The hematoma is under the Cortex of the bone, and their is physical damage to the bone. This is not a trivial injury.

I stand corrected... thank you for clarifying the injury.

Doubtless, it sounds much more ominous than I originally thought.

Exactly....its no joke at all.

Gronk is very PR sensitive. Hence the Bleacher Report video.

So you really are just a troll. Good to know that there is no reason to waste time arguing with your insane comments.
Why am I a troll? Sounds a little bit to me that you are acting more like a troll

it's not just message boards.

If Gronk comes back if the bone is healed, but he is at 80-90%, I don't think you really need to make an evaluation process. He is worth the money to keep even with injuries.

If our fears are that his father is going to make him sit out until he is 100% are true, then the Pats have to start to consider seeing what they can get in a trade. Gronk is a grown man and if he is letting his father be that father on the Pop Warner field telling the coach how to coach his son, then they should consider cutting bait if they can get good trade value.
trade him to a bad NFC team for the next 2 or 3 year number ones.

Why would we not see Gronk until the playoffs?
They might be worried about that bad field in Houston as wel. Wasn't it there where Welker suffered the knee injury before the playoff game?

Isn't that a perfect indoor/outdoor field? I think Welker's injury was a freakish cut, not a turf issue.

The idea of trading Gronk who is like 27 years old and has been statistically the most prolific offensive weapon in the NFL since he came into the league despite missing lots of games to injury is laughable.

The contract that they have him under is incredibly team friendly too because they extended him and hernandez early

Except the media is essentially totally ignoring the situation and only people that overanalyze every spoken word are having this entirely stupid discussion over the wording of "100%".

If this was a common discussion media would have picked up on it to capitalize because they want the clicks..

then why would the pats come and say " he'd miss a game at most "??
then gronk sr says a couple of weeks.

i bet belichick hates this ****

I went to G&G Fitness in Columbus, OH this weekend and saw autographed Gronk stuff and also the "Growing up Gronk" book on display for sale.
I found they were overpriced and too opinionated (buy Precor because everything else sucks) with minimal inventory. I ordered my treadmill directly from Nordictrack. Thanks, Gordo.

Because in the last week you haven written nothing of substance but bitter posts.

Culminating now in your brilliant idea to trade away the best TE in the history of the game because he wants to make sure that his knee is healthy and he is under no additional danger of ligament damage due to a serious injury.

But who cares about our playoff and 2016+ chances. We need to win games against the ****ing Texans and Titans for that oh so important HFA.

I know I am kind of splitting hairs here, but can we just wait a moment before making Gronk "the greatest TE in history?" How about "one of the best?" Because if we have the GOAT QB, GOAT TE, GOAT head coach, GOAT owner, and some really great players then I'd really like to win a few more SBs with them...

Durability at the TE position matters. Tony Gonzalez played his career going over the middle for mediocre QB's while putting up great numbers. I don't think we should just discount that.

Huh. I once saw a vid of Gronk lift his shorts to scratch his naked nuts in front of reporters at a hotel pool party.
Yea but I think hes evolved a little over the last couple of years.
