It's easy, and only takes a few moments. To play devil’s advocate, I doubt many coaching staffs were raided for top talent as the Pats were during the dynasty.Patriots Blocked Assistant Coach from Interviewing with the Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders were close to hiring yet another assistant coach from the New England Patriots.www.si.com
I’m sure I am in the minority (don’t care) but I’m ok with the job AVP has done so far with very limited resources. I can’t fault the guy for the lack of quality at a number of positions. He doesn’t get Mulligan next year.
AgreeI think if Caley was here, things would be the same. Also I feel like JB is doing his job, just not the least bit exciting, efficient, good, etc etc. He’s a placeholder brought in to do a single job. Wasn’t brought in to win…his jobs to mentor.
If he’s in the league next year it’s most likely as a backup. I wouldn't mind if he turned into Hoyer in that regard for the Patriots.Sadly the only thing he’s done extremely well is shown how to take shots/sacks/hits and get up. I think with the beat by he takes this year, he retires next year..
That’s what gets me.no motion
Stop it, we are 3 games in with AVP.If daboll gets canned after this season wonder if we’d have a shot at him?
And he’s been awful. Zero scheming to help the players. By end of season, we’ll have plenty of info on if he is good or not. If he is, awesome. If it looks like it has so far, he has to go.Stop it, we are 3 games in with AVP.

Highly unlikelyJust thinking ahead, hypothetically. Hoping for the best with avp but its a possibility
You have to correct a bad hire as soon as you can.Stop it, we are 3 games in with AVP.
Yep the NFL stands for Not For Long. You have to correct a bad hire as soon as you can.

Play Action works when teams don't respect a deep threat. You fake the run. The D plays the run leaving a guy deep. How can you possibly evaluate the offense when it can't even get off the ground thanks to a horrendous OL and an absolutely mundane QB? I've seen a few complaints about not running enough PA's or misdirections, but how can a PA succeed when the defense refuses to respect the deep threat?
Guess we are in a lose/lose situation because the Defense knows we have a QB who can't get it there even with time... because throwing over Ten Yards is asking him for the moon. How can you possibly evaluate the offense when it can't even get off the ground thanks to a horrendous OL and an absolutely mundane QB? Forget PA we just need to run more. How can you possibly evaluate the offense when it can't even get off the ground thanks to a horrendous OL and an absolutely mundane QB? I know Greg Bedard has his detractors but I trust his analysis more often than not. Today on his weekly 98.5 stint he didn't have much positive to offer on the Pats coaching staff, firing a few salvos at AVP citing poor scheme beyond the personnel woes.
