Great Win (Obviously)/Fire Romo

The only annoying thing for me with Romo is how he questions calls that are not questionable.

He makes some comment about the flags coming out in Foxborough*.

Then he spent like 3 minutes acting like an Amendola catch wasn't in any way questionable is a mystery. Nothing at all was questionable about it. Nance was like "yeah I don't know what you're saying."

*WTF with this idea about "home field refs" anyway- this isn't HS where the refs live in town. Surely they know this.

100% false. He re-possessed the ball and had it stuck to his hip, which is possession, When Jack, stripped it, Lewis was already down.
Sorry, but you just don't know the rule. He clearly bobbled it when he was first hit by Jack. That much cannot be disputed.

At that point, regaining possession becomes like a receiver trying to make a catch (with the only difference being that the ball can hit the ground). Even if he loosely had the ball pinned against his hip (which is a generous assumption) he has to survive the ground, which he did not, to have re-established possession.

It was the right call. Everyone on the planet seems to know this except you.

I mean, is this for real. He has Nantz wrapped up too.

You don't get paid to openly root for the other team from the second the whistle blows, and then make it so obvious, misleading the viewer. It happened again, just like all year and worse than last week.

The Lewis "fumble" was clearly not a fumble and there were other calls where he was openly rooting to see something that was not there, that would hurt the Pats.

The viewer is expected to believe the analyst and he has so much power, as he lies and misrepresents things.

Again, been watching this for 35 years have never seen a color analyst have such a disingenuous bias.

What a pretty boy, annoying dork. Sorry, but it's true.

He's apparently the smartest guy in the room calling out things I call out and the way he uses that on screen marker to show what he thinks should be done, hoping he is right...? Yet, he was a mediocre QB who was so easily duped like Jay Cutler with the worst timed INTs this side of the Mississippi.

This is abomination. I have never seen a guy so awful at his craft as a rookie be praised, and I have no idea why Pats fans would ever support such a disgrace. Worst I have ever seen as a rookie commentator, possibly in all of sports.

PS God bless Amendola and the O Line, not to mention the D that shut the door again in the 4th qtr like they always do, keeping it to 20 points and under which as been the magic number in this offensive Goodell Era for a decade.

On to Minny.
You ***** about the media more than anyone on this board.

Let it go. Who cares?

I love Romo. He says exactly what is on his mind and doesn’t hold back. I will agree with you that he gets excited and is very animated. It’s not because he hates the Pats. It’s because he loves football. He loves watching it and talking about it. He’s the color commentary. That’s his job. If Nantz can’t handle, he needs to gtfo!

I don't love him but he's the best out there

The fumble was not overturned. Therefore it was clearly not "clearly not a fumble".

Why was it called a fumble? They were so happy it appeared to be a fumble, they had gone along with the corrupt ref and then glossed over the review, when it clearly showed it was not a fumble.

Did you see the play? You haveto lose possession for it to be a fumble. Lewis clearly had it pinned to his hip, was tackled down, and Jack stripped it away finalky, after he was down.

It was ruled a fumble and there simply was not enough evidence that he actually had control of the ball when his knee hit the ground. Just because the ball is not moving in 6-7 individual frames doesnt mean that he actually has control of the ball. What looks in super slow motion like seconds is in reality just fractions thereof. If he was called down then the review would have also not overturned that based on the footage.

Ironic how you are *****ing about biases but are not able to see your own..

100% false by the rule. He had possession tied to his hip, firm, no movement, was down and then it was stripped. Down.

No fumble.

You have to strip before he is down. This is very simple.

Give him an edible and tell him to shut up for 3 seconds. How about that? Most annoying color commentator in history and he is 1 year in.

You Millennials clearly have never watched old school, classic, and classy and non-biased commentators in the past. Not your fault, but jesus. This guy sucks beyond belief.
I'm 44 and think you sound like a dumbass.

Yay we are going to another SB. I don’t really listen to the commentators so couldn’t care less about Romo.

So, you are forced to listen to music or the sound completely off. Ok, fine. Some of us want to hear the sound effects and he just takes a massive dump on the microphone as he roots for the Pats opponent in this obvious, creepy fashion. I've never seen anything like it in any sport, save for Tim McCarver and his ridiculous Yankees bias, which all Sox fans know to be true.

Agendas are very easily seen if you know where the agenda comes from.

LOL

The ball was stuck to his hip. You have to lose control of the ball and without question, he still had it tied to his hip when he was down.

Learn the rules.

You Millennials are crazy with this lack of understanding of the rules. Nantz and Romo brainwashing you means nothing.

Most unprofessional broadcast I've ever seen.
Ohhh you’re just a troll.

I'm 44 and think you sound like a dumbass.

Sounds great. You're probably fat, too, and think Goodell is honorable, Wickersham's story was real and Hoyer was going to play. Tune into Felger and Mazz tomorrow!

Hint: The money is all tied to all of these people wanting NE to lose.

Ohhh you’re just a troll.

I am a troll for knowing the rules. You sound really intelligent.

You're probably a guy who thought the 4th and 2 spot call in Indy in 2009 was correct, too, because of the broadcast going along with it, when in fact, they marked Faulk 1.5 yards shy of where he had final possession.

Very annoying. All fans should ask for is the rules applied fairly and no biased officiating or announcing.

Brady deflated balls! ESPN and Goodell told me so! lmao

For once I agree with you.

McCarver sucked!
