Gordon to IR

Do we have any actual evidence that Gordon will be released/waived other than some reporter's hawt take speculation?
Not to my knowledge but multiple, fairly credible reporters such as Reiss are saying he will be released after the trade deadline.

Are we getting another player still?

I mean besides the obvious Gronk and Brown who are coming back

We’ve already inquired about getting Howard and the Bucs told us no. I think that ship sailed once we gave up a 2nd for Sanu.

Howard or Hooper even if it costs a first or more please.
I'd take a late round flier on Adam Sheehan.
But would love a motivated Howard.
Or a star on the rise in Hooper.

Howard

30 games

1173 yds
11 TD

Hooper FA next year

1983 yds
14 TD

Are you giving up more than a 1st for less than 40 yds a game?

I would not give more than a 3rd ....

A first is too much- especially with Hooper being a rental.

At least with Howard we'd have him this year and next year on the cheap and the 2021 5th year option (if he becomes dominant ). A first for him still seems like too much for what he's accomplished.

Falcons said no on Sanu as well.

The hope it's a negotiating ploy and they are looking to field more offers

That’s true, they could always change their mind close to the deadline. Belichick would really be going all out if he landed Howard...drool.

Reiss reported that NE put Gordon on IR with a “minor injury designation” which means that NE must release him when healthy (or when an injury settlement is agreed on, whichever is first).

Does that minor injury designation preclude retaining him or must he be released?
