Too bad he got injured, and whatever else soured his departure. He certainly could have handled it differently. Good for him for being professional in the face of one more obstacle.
Well said.....I can’t imagine that he wouldn’t have turned it around here and been productive here to some degree this year at some point....he was dealing with injuries which was slowing him down ....but sounds like was getting there....I’m honestly shocked by this move but of course we fans don’t know all the detailsHe’s no longer a deep threat but has looked pretty good on intermediate routes and running with the ball in his hands. Should’ve kept him and convert him to a move TE.

Hopefully it won’t turn out to be a terrible decisionI'm sure releasing Gordon isn't fun for BB. Might be one of the hardest decisions he's ever had to make. He will be missed.
this still honestly doesn’t make a lot of sense because BB/pats really haven’t said whether it’s a physical/injury issue, or whether it’s a substance abuse violation....or whether it’s something else...this entire situation makes absolutely no sense to me

He is ineligible to return to the Patriots for this season. Rules under short term IR.Theoretically if he passes waivers can the pats re-sign him?
Not that this is likely just curious, rumors were he was released because he was late to meetings and what not

Hasnt been clean a year since ~2005
Xanax, marijuana, codeine in middle school
Junior year HS Xanax, hydrocodone, oxycodone at nearly every opportunity
Before games, chug Mad Dog 20-20, to gauge whether he could play drunk.

The amount of time the Pats gave him
then the sudden, seemingly unnecessary
shuffle away at point of most need?
Still not clean
The pattern for folks who start early: never will be.
It is just the way it is. A horrible thing for people
Destroys their life
End up under a bridge, crapping on the sidewalk
Spending the day hunting for more, forever
Its just the way it is
