Roger Goodell: Our officials do an extraordinary job - NFL.com

What a self-righteous moron. Seriously, this is the worst year in officiating in a while across the entire league, with multiple refs crews being reassigned or questioned, and he says this.

Not sure why the owners keep Goodell. He's not hurting the Pats only, he's diminishing the league value with his actions/words, on and off the field. Whatever ref training Goodell's people are doing (trying to do?), is wrong.

What did they expect him to say!

More than just the Pats are angry at the officiating this year so hopefully something might happen.

Go ahead TD pass. Ignore obvious hands to the face.

Honestly, I don't understand why anyone would be surprised at anything he says. The same goes for any of the owners.

I can't wait for Tom Brady to retire so I can dump the Not For Long sooner rather than later.

Here's the thing. I don't mind non calls on game deciding plays. As long as they are consistent. That's why it is so extra outrageous that they called the most ticky tacky of penalties on both Gronk and Chung on plays that objectively decided the game.
I'm reasonably certain all people ask is that penalties are called consistently NOT like the hatchet job on SNF.

He's never wrong. He's awesome. Memba that bang up job he did framing Brady for Mother Nature's physics ?

they keep him because he makes them billions of dollars per year...no other reason

I don't think he makes them anymore than anyone could make being in that position. He probably costs them more than he makes when compared to anyone else

stealing from BB, who once said that "do your job" has an implied "well" at the end, Goodell's statement obviously has an implied "poorly" at the end. "Our officials do an extraordinary job....poorly". That seems more accurate.

And yet LaFell gets mugged on national TV and nothing. Either call it tight or let them play...for BOTH TEAMS!
